I'm playing EE and the game crashes to desktop at random points. It will happen when I'm just walking and just now it crashed during a movie portion. I don't receive any error message or anything it just suddenly disappears and I'm back at the desktop.

I'm currently using the 296.10 driver on a GTX 560 but I'm going to try with the 301.24 beta to see if it fixes the problem.

Update: New driver didn't fix. I tried switching to 16x9 and disabling fullscreen and it still crashes. Really starting to piss me off.

I think it might be tied to a problem when saving like possible the auto saves making it crash because it just happened when I tried to quick save.

Nevermind it isn't tied to saves. It crashes even when I'm in the meditation screen.

I am getting the same problems, only with an AMD card. Can't play for more than half an hour and crashing near the end of a lengthy conversation really irks me.

I haven't tried playing the game for a long extended period yet but it hasn't crashed yet.

I just finished my EE run last night and throughout the whole experience have been filled with CTD's. Especially in Flotsam. It wasn't this bad during Version 2.0.

I tried using the .ini tweak below and did get some improvement. they still happen from time to time though.

Just tried this, no luck. Works fine for 20 minutes or so then crashes again.
