I have to say that The Witcher 2 is my first game I got via GOG.com and my experience has been mostly smooth.
Here are some things I noticed with the installer, that could be improved. I don't know exactly but have reason to believe that it might affect other games as well.
1) For the installation options, be a bit more verbose. Although I know FoxIt Reader for example, when presented with a simple checkbox "Foxit", I didn't really know what it was about. I had to Google a bit to find out it will install the PDF Reader, which I really don't need. So better explain such options. It's nice that you care for people without PDF Readers, but then please explain what the option does.
2) The installation took very long, although I put the installation files onto a different hard disk (physically different, not just a partition) than the installation target. I checked with Process Explorer and found out, that the installer fully utilizes a single CPU-core. Whatever is done here, I assume it is decrypting and decompressing (maybe no decrypting, but I don't know the technical details), consider optimizing it to utilize more than one CPU-core to improve performance. Today's systems feature dual- and quad-core CPUs and even more cores come around the corner.
I hope my feedback will be noted and used to improve the already very good experience provided here.
