I've read that you can get a small boost in FPS if you run the game windowed. Unfortunately, the windows 7 taskbar remains visible over the game window. I can use "auto hide the taskbar, but the window doesn't really line up with the screen, and there's a bit of unused space at the bottom. Any suggestions?

there's no performance gain in windowed vs fullscreen. unless your resolution is different. just do fullscreen :-)

if your experiencing taskbar visibility and still want to use windowed, you should probably ask the developers at cd projekt red and make them aware of the issue :-)
