Dear Friends

I have completed The Witcher 1 with two swords:
G'valchir (Sihill) and Aerondight (silver sword), I have too Gwalhir (steel sword).

My import works, but I have imported only Aerondight and Gwalhir not G'valchir (Sihill).
I have tried to carry only G'valchir (Sihill) and save to see if it will be imported, but it's not.
Why?

Gwalhir and G'valchir (Sihill) are two different steel swords.
Anybody have successfuly imported G'valchir (Sihill) to The Witcher 2?

Best regards.

Sincerely

According to the reports, this doesn't work for anyone. It may be a bug, as there is an entry for imported G'valchir in The Witcher 2 files, but the sword doesn't import. Anyway, its imported stats would be merely average (iirc, 10-12 damage and 1% instant kill).

You can't import G'valchir (Sihill), already tried.
The game imports all equipped items by the way, so if you have D'yaebl + Gwalhir + Aerondight, it will import the three of them (but it's pointless).
By the way, don't know if that's a "cameo" or something else, but you can succesfully import a removed item "Ard'aenye" (of course you should use a Save Game Editor for TW1 or have a really legit-old save) in The Witcher 2.

Indeed, those four plus Raven's Armor and Moonblade are the only items that import successfully. All others don't.

And importing steel swords isn't really useful - you can find a better sword in the prologue. Raven's Armor and silver swords last until some time into Chapter 1.

Another thread mentions that runed swords do not import I used my Ard'aenye and Moonblade(3slots) The Ard'aeyne(+30dmg) was my best stat according to FCR but not that good according to the import. My Mahakaman wouldn't import...(USE the pitchfork in the prologue) see Silver Sword thread for stats...back on the 17th

Really? I must have missed it.

It's the Temerian Steel Sword (I'm not sure if that's the correct English name). It has 11-14 damage and +5 reduction during block.

Of imported swords, Gwalhir has 9-13 damage and nothing else, Dyaebl has 9-13 and 1% instant kill chance, and Ard'aenye has 7-15 damage and nothing else. For me, the Temerian Steel Sword is better than any of them - although not by much. I suppose not everyone will agree. :)

Of course, it might be random whether you find it, but I did find it in all 4 of my prologue play-throughs (although I don't remember where exactly).
