hello how do i throw bombs i have some bombs and traps in my pockets in the inventory but when i press the R key it keeps laying traps iv'e looked everywhere for an answer i have even removed traps from my pockets and left the bombs but it still just lays traps .

the bombs must be selected from your pockets. you have traps selected

You need to make sure you're selecting one of the new bombs that you've equipped in your quickslots, also. If the last thing you had equipped was a trap, and you don't shift to one of your bombs, it's going to keep laying down that same trap.

Basically hold down crtl to bring up the menu and hover your cursor over to select the bomb (you want) by clicking on it.

I'm playing with controller, because stubborn Geralt won't walk when I click on the mouse and WASD is no go. But. There are some things I can't figure out with the controller, because there's neither anything about it in the manual, nor in the in game tutorials. Like I need to switch to MKB to play dice or play without rerolls, because the displayed button just ends my turn.

Same with bombs: I can select them, but how do I throw them? How do I aim?

hold right bumper on the 360 pad. after a few seconds itl go into slo mo and you can aim it.
