Somewhat complex question:

Let's say I purchased a UK version of Witcher 2 (proper, uncensored version) on Gog and on the original release date but then due to the issues with the whole legal case GOG had to enable GeoIP and I found myself in Australia.

What I want to know is, will my EE (as available on my bookshelf) be now an Australian version or will it be a UK version if I choose to re-download the whole game.

In other words I read that those who purchased it at different location and pre-GeoIP implementation get to keep their then localized copy even after the GeoIP implementation... but does that effect EE once it is made available?

I asked our devs to clarify this, just to be sure, and your IP only matters during purchase. Afterwards you just keep access to the game you paid for. TW2EE will technically replace TW2 in our catalog, so the "rest of the world" version of TW2EE will replace your version of TW2.

As for downloads - you keep your access to the game you purchased, regardless of your current location.

Also, download attempts aside, I'm pretty sure we wouldn't be able to check your location at the time of the switch to the Extended Edition, no matter how much we kept zooming and enhancing. ;)

Nice to see you (as a distributor) believe that at the age of 30+ I can play Witcher 2 the way it was intended/meant to be played regardless of where I happen to be in the world and how incompenent the local politicians are...
