lol...can you people at least in one post try to avoid DA2 and BioWare?
What does this article have to do with them?

Well they are both action RPG's, made by both very capable game developers.

Also i paid good money on DA2,and it wasn't worth it. Hence i'd like this beautiful action rpg by an upcoming dev to sell more then the big advertised and seriously lacking dragon age2.

It's the only way to show some developers that if you bring a quality product, people will buy it. That there still is a market on the platform that raised the rpg genre, and that not all pc gamers are pirates.
I really hope that CD Project will make lot of profit. it will be green light for Witcher 3 and new RPG IP. also it will be wake up call for other game developers "cough BioWare cough"
If they manage to release a high quality console version the sells will be awesome.
Anyway I think the game is selling very well.

vgchartz says that Witcher 2 sold around 615k, but vgchartz numbers are always impossibly low for PC games, and they don't track digital downloads. For example they say that Crysis 1 sold only 0,8m while it was officialy announced that Crysis 1 sold 3m on the PC. So when I see sales of some PC game on vgchartz I just multiply it with 2 or 3. So I guess Witcher 2 sold by now at least 1,2 million copies or more. That's awesome success considering that the game was released only 3 months ago. Witcher 1 sold 1m after 12 months.

On a surface, not much...
But the fact that more people know about DA2 and overall it is entirely too well rated when compared to the Witcher makes it hard to forget.

Indeed, the Witcher 2 was without a doubt a masterpiece. I loved The Witcher 1 and I just bought the second the final day of the sale(Lucky me if I waited one more day I would have missed it) The game didn't disappoint me at all, it even surpassed my expectations so I hope the game did very well during the sale. My only complaint was a lack of side quests but that's minor considering the story blew me away.

There should be competition, else not much progression in development.

Apart from that, I also would like to know how many copies did Witcher 2 were sold.

Because DA2(fracking hyped game) thou being an average game, Bioware/EA publicized that the game sold x million copies or reached x milestone and so..they only appear to mention copies sold and not the feedback from the gaming community.

They did get the money from the so called "community" of theirs...
One that is a "community" when it is convenient to them :)
So why would you expect them to consider anything past that?

Is Very simple you know?

As companies grow they tend to forget that their number one priority is to satisfy their customers. Their attention gets diluted and their goals aren't anymore the goals that made them great. As BioWare became more successful, it forgot that fact. CDPR is a new company and has that fact fresh. It is up to the people on that company to remember that fact.
Still, Jade Empire is the best bioWare RPG I ever played.

So the question on everyone's mind is...
Is every company doomed to repeat this particular mistake?

As where BioWare is concerned, I do agree with you completely...
Though while I enjoyed Jade Empire, my favourites are KotOR and Mass Effect 1.
...and no, I have no desire of wasting time with the dribble called SWTOR.

Both Kotor and Mass Effect similarities. I got bored of Mass Effect 2. I guess it all goes to each individual. But definitively the best gut impression to me was Jade empire. It had nothing to do with anything I've previously seen(KoTor): SW is a retarded Cowboys in the Space concept that people love. And it provided the best writing I've seen in any BioWare game. It had the same effect on me as the writings of Robert E. Howard. Mass Effect is a good one, but it didn't leave the same lasting impression.
