Hey all,

I purchased the retail copy for the game and I'm getting a weird error. I've tried looking for the solution all over google but I can't find anything.

When I try to run the autoinstall, the bar gets halfway before it report a "an error -5006 0x8007005". I'm not sure what this is, and I've disabled any programs like anti-virus. I also made sure all my windows updates and drivers were up to date. Any help would be appreciated.

http://www.gog.com/en/support/the_witcher_2 is the GOG download version for support url. Perhaps there is an answer in there somewhere that would help you, even though you have the hard copy so to speak.

I would love to help more, but at the moment, you probably need a pick and a wire brush to excavate the answers you need for yourself. All computer systems have different needs. With both Witcher games it seems that settings can be as individual as each user, so there is generally not just a one answer serves all kind of fix. Good Luck.
