It was 1996. Got this for Christmas. It was supposed to be like, Elite 3 or something. Packed in a wonderful box. The game looked gorgeous on my Matrox Millennium graphics card. It cost about 1/35 (about 3%) of my monthly net salary, so it was almost like an investment.

But the game was short. You could do the main plot before you got all the upgrades for the ship (or the best ships), and the upgrades were not a reason enough to keep playing. And you felt you had already seen all there was to see. If the universe was larger and with more missions, this would have been all that a man needs.

So, for the current price, go for it. For me it was only a learning experience.
