Story:Jet Set Radio HD is the latest remaster in a string of Dreamcast "hits" to see new life on download platforms, but Sega has been insistent that they've learned its lessons. The publisher has emphasized how hard it's trying to get things right this time, and for many, it couldn't have chosen a better game.
Jet Set Radio was part of Sega's onslaught of new properties with an emphasis on flash and style during the second wave of Dreamcast software, but it might be one of the more obscure. It's a game that almost everyone has heard of, but I think few have actually played. This was remedied somewhat with 2002's Xbox sequel Jet Set Radio Future. Unlike Sonic Adventure or the arcade hit Crazy Taxi, Jet Set Radio HD is the chance for many to finally play a game they've only heard about.
Nostalgia has the side effect of high expectations though, and Jet Set Radio HD just can't meet them. While the flash and style of Jet Set Radio HD remains untouched and unvarnished by a dozen years of progress, the rest of it can't stand up to scrutiny. Squirrely controls, camera catastrophes, and nonsensical level design make Jet Set Radio HD a better memory than game.Show more

I love Jet Set Radio Future and don't know if it's possible to get a PC port as that was an original Xbox exclusive. Jet Set Radio HD was very close to experience it for the longest time. However Sega killed and the delisted the game off Steam meaning we have no modern and accessible way to play and support our beloved JSR franchise. I would love both JSR and JSRF to be on GOG so I get to experience them again. Or at least I hope the first step is to bring back JSR HD to be back play since a PC port already existed.
This is a game unlike any other. It was a smooth as butter game that served as a testament to the resilience of counterculture and the beauty and creativity of cultural resistance.
Unfortunately, the game was sadly, unfairly and very unceremoniously killed off very recently, first on Xbox 360 in 2023, and then on Steam on 9 Dec 2024.

This game is an all-time SEGA great. It's fun, albeit massively surpassed by it's sequel, reeks of style and certified Funky Fresh Beats by our very own Funky Uncle, Hideki Naganuma. However, this classic game is pretty much unavailable on every platform after SEGA mysteriously delisted it back in October 2024. A re-release on GOG would be awesome, and maybe expose more people to this wonderful franchise.
Este é meu jogo favorito do Dreamcast. Eu perdi a conta de horas que passei jogando este jogo, e de quantas vezes eu zerei. Além de mim, minha prima me assistia jogando, e adorava o jogo também. Sempre achei o design diferente, uma arte legal e bonita. As trilhas sonoras deste jogo são sensacionais, vale muito apena possuir um disco de vinil ou um cd com as musicas deste jogo. A gameplay é curiosamante divertida, misturando patinação com graffiti, a ideia de patinar por partes de Shibuya, fazendo manobras radicais e competir com grupos rivais do graffiti enquanto escapa da policia e de um delegado maluco, é bem legal.
Infelizmente, recentimente este jogo foi removido da loja da Steam no final de 2024, a unica plataforma onde tinhamos acesso ao jogo, felizmente quem ja possuia o jogo, ainda pode joga-lo. Seria maravilhoso ter acesso a este classio e sua sequencia (Jet Set Radio Future) pela GOG.
Back in 2023 I had really gotten into skating and wondered if I could find an arcade like skating game with some good features and a little bit of rebellion. I had found only one game that fit the description and that was Jet Set Radio. Being able to play this game in HD would be awesome especially since Sega isn’t releasing it anywhere else and it recently got taken off of steam. Having this game on GOG would mean wonders to me.
JSRHD is a great remaster of a great game but recently SEGA has delisted it from steam. Their reasons havent been said but Im under the impression that its because theyre currently working on working on new remasters for the entire sega classic collection (JSR, Crazy Taxi, etc) which makes some sense? but not really at the same time. i dont see why the two versions cant coexist and id love to see JSRHD come to GOG as a new way to legally obtain it
I feel like this game transcends it's form and acts as a time capsule of games that came in the early 2000s and represents a strong contendor for preservation. It's controls and visual style still hold up to this very day and they make for a rare experience that will have you smiling the entire time. This game being preserved would mean that future admirers of niche street culture and video games can still experience this in a modern form factor.
Playing this game in 2019 with no "old game nostalgia factor", when technology and game development was way further from what was in 2000, I found this game one of my most favorite ones ever. Noone among my peers could get why I was so obsessed with the game and its music. But it was, and still is a fact, that noone has ever made a game like this. Yes, there were games like Lethal League, Hover, the newest one - Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, but they were all heavily inspired by this unrepeatable classic, which to me will always feel better, than any of the spiritual successors that already exist or are yet to be released. Even the already confirmed remake ain't it, no matter how glad I've been to see the announcement.
I love how passionate the devs were about the dominating culture among youth back then, and what a cool music taste and vision they must've had to find the right people for the OST and pick some rare gems from compilation albums, that later became known just because of the game's success, not vice versa. The gameplay might be a bit quirky nowadays, but totally playable and fun, it's possible to beat the game on 100% and have a blast. I've spent up to 55 hours in the game, because I really enjoyed skating around, drawing graffities, doing tricks while escaping the law. Locations are quite detailed and fun to explore, in spite of the fact that the game isn't open-world.
This is gonna be a very long text if I talk about everything I loved in JSR, the only thing I didn't like is that Sega removed it from stores instead of ANY feedback on those 24 years of begging for JSRF PC port. Jet Set Radio really is a good old game, I only wish it gained more recognition

Sonic Rivals 2The Chao have disappeared and Sonic the Hedgehog and Miles "Tails" Prower immediately get on the case to find them. It turns out that Eggman Nega (once again masquerading as Doctor Eggman) has stolen the Chao and concealed them inside a haunted mansion. His plan is to feed them to an inter-dimensional beast called the "Ifrit" who needs to eat them to become invincible . After that, he plans to release the Ifrit into the world in order to destroy it. However, to open the portal to the Ifrit's world, the seven Chaos Emeralds are required. Eggman Nega secretly hires Rouge the Bat to collect the Chaos Emeralds. The Master Emerald has also gone missing (again) and Knuckles the Echidna teams up with Rouge to find it.
Meanwhile, Silver the Hedgehog has returned from a now ruined future caused by the Ifrit. In order to make a happier future, he searches for and steals the Chao that are left in order to hide them. Espio first thought that Silver was hiding Chao for a cause of evil, but Espio finds out that Silver was trying to save the world. Then, they work together to save the world. The real Dr. Eggman sends Metal Sonic to find Shadow, and tells him of Nega's plans. Nega has learned of the Ifrit by accessing Professor Gerald Robotnik's journals, and Shadow and Metal Sonic set out to retrieve the Chaos Emeralds before he does. Eggman uses Metal Sonic as a communication device to aid Shadow along the way.
All of the teams meet up at the Mystic Haunt Zone where the portal to the Ifrit's world is. Despite Rouge only collecting six of the Emeralds, the portal opens anyway and Nega dispatches his newly copy of Metal Sonic, Metal Sonic 3.0 to awaken the Ifrit. Despite possessing the minds of Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Rouge (depending on who the player plays as), the Ifrit is defeated by the other teams. Shadow and Metal Sonic defeat the Ifrit and close the portal but they and Eggman Nega are trapped in the Ifrit's dimension. However, Metal Sonic tears his chassis open, revealing the 7th Chaos Emerald. Shadow uses the Emerald to teleport back with Metal Sonic. Nega is left trapped under some rubble.
Sonic and Tails save all the Chao and bring them to a Chao Garden and relax there while Knuckles finds the Master Emerald in the Emerald Detector that he and Rouge stole from Eggman Nega. Rouge steals the Master Emerald and runs, and Silver returns to what he hopes is a happy future. Espio has to answer to Vector the Crocodile who has spent their client's advanced payment on late rental fees.Action
Final Fantasy IIIIn 2006, Final Fantasy III reached North American shores in an official update/remake.
The gameplay of Final Fantasy III combines elements of the first two Final Fantasy games with new features. The turn-based combat system remains in place from the first two games, but hit points are now shown above the target following attacks or healing actions, rather than captioned as in the previous two games. Auto-targeting for physical attacks after a friendly or enemy unit is killed is also featured for the first time. Unlike subsequent games in the series, magical attacks are not auto-targeted in the same fashion.
The experience point system featured in Final Fantasy makes a return following its absence from Final Fantasy II. The character class system featured in the first game also reappears, with some modifications. Whereas in the original game the player chooses each character's class alignment at the start of the game and is then locked into that class for the duration of the game, Final Fantasy III introduces the "job system" for which the series would later become famous. Jobs are presented as interchangeable classes: in the Famicom version of the game, all four characters begin as "Onion Knights", with a variety of additional jobs becoming available as the game progresses. Any playable character has access to every currently available job and can change from job to job at will. Switching jobs consumes "capacity points" which are awarded to the entire party following every battle, much like gil. Different weapons, armor and accessories, and magic spells are utilized by each job. A character's level of proficiency at a particular job increases the longer the character remains with that job. Higher job levels increase the battle statistics of the character and reduce the cost in capacity points to switch to that job.
Final Fantasy III is the first game in the series to feature special battle commands such as "Steal" or "Jump", each of which is associated with a particular job ("Steal" is the Thief's specialty, whilst "Jump" is the Dragoon's forte). Certain jobs also feature innate, non-battle abilities, such as the Thief's ability to open passages that would otherwise require a special key item. Final Fantasy III is also the first game in the series to feature summoned creatures, which are called forth with the "Summon" skill.Action Fantasy
