Talking about the PC version , it is one of the earliest sims that i recall playing in the early 90s. I would be at my uncle's house with a joystick taking off, taking out targets, and returning back. Whatever faults it may have had, good times were had sinking hour after hour into it.
My favorite game as a kid. What this game needs is a Map Editor & a Capture the Flag setting. E.g. on the map you choose your airbase for a helicopter, plane, or vehicle to be made. Then you choose the enemy airfield for it to travel to. Once you have all the enemy airbases you win the game. But before that you use one of the helicopters you choose to fly to destroy the enemy forces who themselves are closing on any of your friendly airfields. And sort of like Rescue Raiders, you can drop troops out of your Blackhawk helicopter or V-22 Osprey while on the ground or in the air. If you drop troops out of your helicopter high enough, parachutes will open saving your troops. If it's too close to the ground, your friendly troops fall to their doom.
This game, Seal Team, & Chuck Yeager's Air Combat should be combined into one computer game & given a Map Editor. If not they should be given their own Map Editors.
