A surprisingly fun ARPG with guns. Absolutely does not work on modern systems though and had no success even with wrappers. Only ever got it to run on a Windows XP PC. And even then, the game can be pretty buggy at times. Would be great if the game could get the GOG treatment.

I once owned this game on a bravo screenfun cd. Sadly my disc is gone. Would love to replay it ! German audio is superb and got a great cyberpunk setting / feeling !
One of those few ARPGs that are not taking place in a fantasy setting. Instead it is a post-apocalpytic world with guns and some cyberpunk elements. In terms of story and characters it seems like a B-movie, though the different characters will experience the story slightly differently. Aesthetically speaking the character design and guns are derivative and not exactly convincing and the environments are what you'd expect (industrial, sci-fi-elements, wasteland). But the environments are pleasing enough to look at for what they are and the soundtrack helps create some atmosphere as well. There are four characters to choose from with a fairly standard skill systems and the best attribute system I have ever seen in an ARPG. Like with many underappreciated games this may not be a great game, but it is certainly better than it often gets credit for.

Silent Hill
Silent HillSilent Hill is the first installment in the Silent Hill series of psychological survival horror video games. Unlike earlier survival horror games that focused on protagonists with combat training, the main character Harry Mason is an average man. The gameplay consists of combat, exploration, and puzzle-solving. The controller vibration is used to indicate Harry's heartbeat and will vibrate on low health. The player must regularly enter an inventory screen to check Harry's health, use items, and equip different weapons.

Ecco the Dolphin: Defender of the Future
Ecco the Dolphin: Defender of the FutureAt the dawn of the 30th Century, dolphins and humans had been together in a cross-species society for 500 years. Together, they had set out to explore space, offering peace and friendship to all who would welcome it. But space had its dangers; a violent species known as the Foe decided to conquer Earth. However, the dolphins and humans drove them to the brink of defeat, and so the Foe sought vengeance on Earth. The few caretaker dolphins who had been left behind on Earth were not entirely defenseless; they were protected by their creation called the Guardian—a gigantic, sentient being made of a crystalline substance which projected a forcefield over the entire planet. Undeterred, the Foe made suicide attacks on the field, searching for a weak point.
