Doc, I really am overwhelmed by your generosity...

... but I have found this community to be the most open and generous of any I have ever come across. To those who have not ventured elsewhere much, cherish this place and the people in it while you can.

And although it's been said a number of times before...

... I think Gamezranker exhibits some of the best of the community.

We've had many discussions (PM)... and I'm continually amazed that he finds it in his heart to give away games when a vocal minority here actively hates him and has tried to drive him away. This is not to say he's always right -- or that he doesn't sometimes straddle the line or "twist the knife" -- or that we always agree... but he's never shied away from a difficult private discussion... and has actually on occasion PM'd to say "hello" when I've gone silent. Plus, he's turned me on to some games that I never knew existed... so he actually plays them.

Having said this, there are a lot of great people I've met here who I feel weird for not mentioning... but think Gamezranker -- with the amount of adversity he's come up against -- deserves the spotlight.
Hi, thank you or the giveaway, i'm in.

I'd say Doc0075, GamezRanker, paladin18 and other who makes some great giveaway, finkleroy for managing both community giveaway, and also adamhm for his realy good begginer guide that makes me try and enjoy Linux that became my main system since i tried it.

Been said to death but here are my top 3 in no particular order:

finkleroy. Tirelessly managing the community GAs and putting up with all the BS that comes along with it i.e. entitled users.

GamezRanker. Despite all the brigading, still manages to put on a pleasant disposition.

And of course OP (Doc0075). For taking the time to run some really memorable forum games that aren't generic e.g. mafia etc.
high rated
Not many people posting now so I will keep this giveaway running until I finish work tomorrow and then choose the winners.
The people I nominate are those that laboured to provide improved search tools that CD Projekt group refuses to provide.

mrkgnao - for creating and maintaining MaGoG. I found it an invaluable resource when researching GOG's offerings.

ciemnogrodzianin - for the regular summaries of sales and the publicising of price changes; making it easy to find the best deals.
I looked for them in my chat, but couldn't find them, but Paladin...181?? was immediately willing to buy me a game that was not available in my region, wanting nothing in return, so that was cool.

Fairfox
was interesting and kept to her guns whilst being pestered by trolls a lot.

I hope fortune_p_dawg gets his SKYRIM!11!!!! here some day.

and that guy from college who showed me GOG.

Thanks as always doc, I am in.

Another topic i can read through for fun.
I'm not in ...

... but I take the opportunity to once again shine the spotlight on tinyE, who often sent a smile or even laughter on my face with his anarchistic humor and deconstructive way of communication. In the end he remained misunderstood and was driven out of the forums by small-minded moderators.
Shout out to Themken for the friendship on these forums and in RuneScape. It's rare for me to find people that take part in two different communities that I'm also a part of and so it's awesome to have a friend on both!
Thanks for the giveaway Doc, if it's not too late I would like to participate aswell :)

I would like to give a shout-out to SCPM.

He is what some people may call an "Hardcore Gamer" and his knowledge of the GOG catalog has been pretty useful at many occasions, especially for helping other troubleshooting their games. Also for many years he took care of the "Games Finished in XXXX" thread, which is one of my favorites.

And when I have a question regarding GOG achievements most of the time consulting his profile gave me the answer. Pretty neat ! lol

ConsulCaesar: I would like to acknowledge BenKii for those imaginative and detailed posts in the role-playing forum games. You can see the effort and passion behind them and added a lot to the experience of the other players as well.
Thank you for the kind words. Honestly didn't know if anyone would read and/or remember those posts. Glad to see someone enjoyed reading them. :)
I'd like to mention Green_Hilltop, he's a great guy.
I got to know him a little bit from Doc's other giveaway when we were in DnD play, I forget the name of it.
I love it here because of random stranger such as Green_Hilltop.
I hope you're staying healthy.
Thank you for all your giveaways you do, Doc! I'd like to be in.

There are a lot of impeccable people in this community who like to help the community and see people happy with some giveaways. These wonderful people are many in this community starting with you Doc. And other very kind people like finkleroy, GamezRanker, skimmie, PaterAlf, paladin181 and others.
There you go again, Doc0075. Sharing selflessly, generously and warming the community to itself. What a fine role model. You have my immense appreciation.

Now, besides our wonderful host (that would be too obvious), there are many fine ladies and gentlemen that are a credit to the GOG community. They help raise the bar and show how fine and good and useful this forum could be. With their helpful attitude, their generosity, their expertise and knowledge, their work or their wisdom.

I can't possibly name them all, but I express my gratitude to all of you who invest your time and effort in making this forum a better place.

Now, I have decided to say a name I have not seen listed (let us share the praise!). I'll mention JMich. Not the user I see the most, but when I come across his posts, many times when the conversation is heating up, I was impressed by his calm, short, respectful and wise posts, very often taking a view I had not considered. He is also helpful, aiding others when in trouble. I have not seen much of him lately. I hope he is still around. In any case, thank you for your fine contribution to this forum, JMich! It is much appreciated and a good example of community building. Best of luck to you!
Not in............. -(Question: Deleted because the two helped me figure it out below)

- -----------but I would like to shoutout to all the generous, kind, and hardworking people in this community. I have seen many instances that I would take a long time to write on this post but want to keep it short since I might miss one or two! Thank you to all of you who are helping create this positive environment during a time of crisis. May you all have a fantastic day and years that are ahead of you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

JocktheLock1: Question: How do you guys put different phrases on different lines?
You mean multiple quotes in one post?
The only way for the forum to do that for you is to post repeatedly in quick succession and without anyone else posting in between, as it will merge consecutive posts made within 10 minutes of the first if they're from the same user, so you can hit reply and let it do its job. But you only have 10 min for all of it and only works if nobody else posts by the time you're done.
So it's mainly done manually, you just add the corresponding tag, quote_<postnumber>, and copy/paste the text (can also manually redo the formatting or links if they exist and you care, of course). Make sure you also close each quote tag added manually properly, or it'll just hang when trying to post.
