Card games are thriving! It is the perfect culmination of events for them to do so. Now more then ever are development tools more accessible to a greater number of people cutting their teeth. Couple that with the inherent low development overhead of a digital card game, throw in a booming mobile market (a platform that perfectly accommodates this type of game) and top it all off with the fact that business model of micro-transaction 'boosters' are woven into the very fabric of trading card games--it leaves little wonder to why so many people are making card games!
