2. What are the “house rules” / Code of Conduct for posting on the website?

We don’t want GOG.com to be a fun and safe place where you can discuss and review your favorite games, help fellow posters with your knowledge and get help or tips if you're ever stuck in any game. This is not your “safe space”, dude. We believe that common courtesy and respect for others is completely overrated and in no way the basis for communication on this forum. To make things more clear and sort out any doubts, we've created the following set of guidelines. Please note that these apply to forums, comments, user reviews as well as any other content that you can post on GOG.com.

• You know it dude: No one listens to you if you’re polite and treat others just like you want them to treat you. We don’t give a shit if you do, really, just expect the community to slice you up on day one. It’s a man eats man world, no one should feel comfortable at any time, that just weakens you, and therefore any language or content that is harassing, intimidating, threatening, discriminating, obscene, pornographic, sexually explicit or offensive is an absolute must if you want to be heard. Those posts are getting the upvotes, we assure you that. Just be creative!
• Don’t worry about posting stuff that’s been posted before. The old thread on the matter has in all probability already been downvoted out of existence or derailed into a discussion about the inexistence of the wage gap, the inherent evil of the muslim religion or the glory of Putin or Trump.
• Spamming and trolling are the only generally accepted forms of posting. Posting in topics or threads for the sole purpose of flooding and causing unrest on the forums is what keeps this forum afloat. Under no circumstance will we ever do anything against the respective people. Honestly, we know about three dozen trolls with hundreds of alt accounts who are downvoting the shit out of others and are upvoting themselves into oblivion, and we won't lift a finger to change that. I mean, come on, at least you know that one dude who has literally all of his posts low rated because he's being an all around fascist asshole, but he never seems to fall below 500 anyway. How did you think that's going to work without a few alts on the side? You're so naive, man.
• Keep within the law – we don’t want to get sued dude. However, we’re absolutely OK with piracy, it’s not like we’re a game distributor of sorts, you can put down any kind of insult of and slander against our business clients as well (it's a gamergate world after all), and of course what’s illegal in other countries isn’t necessarily illegal in Poland. E.g. holocaust denial is OK, that’s just an opinion some leftist shitheads will have to deal with.
