I have the URL bookmarked so it was the first thing I see whenever I visit GOG (almost daily). Now it just redirects to the homepage.

Petekaboo: GOG Connect is officially dead, rest in peace
I think that corpse has decomposed by now...
An unexpected move. ;]
Noone expects the Polish inquisition!
I think I just lost my daily fuel of disappointment.
You had it bookmarked and checked it almost daily?
Surprising.
It was expected. At least new users will not ask for it in vain. In my opinion a marketing strategy failure, people buy for cents steam keys to obtain free copies of the same games.
RIP to this excellent promo program.

The problem was, it existed only via the good will of the publishers and that was finite and sporadic.
Thanks GOG for trying at least! Perhaps it will reborn into something more successful.

It always had the potential to be (and occasionally was) open to abuse...

Edit: Stupid speeling...

Yay no more free loaders.
Well I cannot say it was completely surprising, but they sure took their time to make their mind up about it.

An end of an era .... even though that was a while ago now.

Still, never say never, and perhaps it is just hidden now. LOL

Maybe it will come back with a fresh approach .... linked to Epic instead. ;)

Stranger things have happened. :P
not sure what gog connect is (if something with steam so i dont use steam anyway) but OFFICIALLY?

i cant see any official article or note marked with the blue dot, so it can be just temporary disfunction.

.. i suppose, gog would announce significant changes

It was a neat program where you could link your Steam account, and if you have already owned a copy of participating games on Steam, you could claim a free GOG copy. The link to GOG Connect was tucked in the footer until now, and it was inactive for several years. You can see why they just quietly kill it.
