Because you are not seeing what I'm seeing and not going crazy about it.

Multiple reasons, some personal.

A game reason would be that I'm getting flashbacks to SPF's RB claim. "Oh look, a PR. Lets leave it alone."

A personal reason is that some actions shouldn't be rewarded. It was probably an innocent mistake on his part, but he should still be dead.

Vitek saw it, Dedo saw it, I saw it. He has basically confirmed himself via breach of rules, so he needs to be lynched anyway at this 11:59 hour or else he probably needs to be mod-killed. I don't envy ZFR this decision, since it was probably just a mistake on his part.

The answer to Flub's question is "I don't know, and GOG's mobile PM is FUBAR so I can't ask the Mod."
The actual answer is "No, the doctor specifically cannot self target in this setup", unless ZFR's promised twist changes that aspect of play.

Specifying whether you can protect yourself or not is basic.
