(I don't know if this was meant only for newsletter subscribers)

I didn't see a thread about this (maybe I missed it)

Good find, if it is newsletter only then I haven't received it yet.

However, I thought I'd fill it in and got as far as "What are the 3 main reasons for you to use the GOG GALAXY app?" (having said in the previous question that I don't use it) but it won't let me continue if I don't tick any boxes :( So that's that. Nice one GOG.

Came here to post this. I threw away the survey after it did that- I don't use Galaxy at all.

1. Everyone uses and loves Galaxy.
2. If you don't, consult rule 1.

Thought about calling it quits at that juncture too. However opted to continue (aborting at this point being the worse decision) by choosing a random reason and then distancing myself from that choice via the "Others" free text option, again pointing out and stressing that I already had answered with "I don't use Galaxy." a page prior.

They fixed that, I said I don't use Galaxy and didn't get any subsequent questions about Galaxy.

That's the fastest time GOG ever fixed a bug - or fixed a bug at all.

How about letting us see all the questions on one page, instead of displaying one or two at a time?

Personally, I refuse to fill in any online surveys or questionnaires, unless I can read through all the questions first, without having to submit a single answer.

Probably because some surveys dynamically change the questions based on previous answers, like how the answer to the question about using Galaxy determines if you get asked any more questions about Galaxy.
I'm not sure how relevant this survey will be considering they've already shared some statistics on the very things it is asking about. I'm a fan of big data for analyzing this kind of stuff... and some of the info they are looking for could definitely be extracted in other ways.

By hook or by crook... they will.
I didn't get the newsletter, but answered it anyway. :)

hehe - "Which of the following issues do you find frustrating while playing?" - "The feeling of lack of ownership/control"

yes, that is exactly what I feel when playing a game. Screw immersion and enjoing the game, and the emotions the game creates when I am playing - what I really feel is lack of ownership!

When I play a game, i also feel frustrated that I can not sell it.

God, there are really some horribly contructed (as well as leading ) questions here. This is a good example of how NOT to construct a questionnaire.

more likely about commitment. if a user see all the questions on one page, it looks enormous, and they will not start the survey. But when there are only 2-3 questions on a page it seem much smaller and the user starts ticking off. When they have reached a couple of pages in, they think "well, I have answerd so many questions now, so may as well finish". It is an old trick with anything that requiers commitment - start small, and then increase. Same with types of questions, start with easy questions and leave the harder ones to the last. Get people commitet.
Survey is worthless. Don't waste your time.

I filled it out, and didn't want to send it, I just wanted to see if it had anything that would help make GoG better. It doesn't, it's just a big personal data collection. I thought I had one more question or it would ask if I want to send or give option to review. It doesn't. The moment you finish the last question it automatically sends.

It may keep you anonymous, but it is collecting user data. Damn scumbags. So the obvious answers are like me. Lie. Fill out incorrect answers to the data questions.

It has NO QUESTIONS about the following (except it asks you if you use the Galaxy app):
On Galaxy itself:
- Nothing on its function
- What is good or bad about it
- Do you use it/what type of use (do you actually use the client to play multiplayer or just download from GoG?)
User interface
Downloading:
- Do you use offline installers?
- Do you like how easy/hard they are to find and use?
GoG Downloader
Games on GoG
- Question on game genres you feel are lacking on GoG
- Game genres you feel would help GoG
Customer service
Game censorship
It doesn't even have a place to put any feedback to bring back downloader or what chnage(s) would you most like to see or feel would make GoiG better.

What they DO ASK
Age/Sex/Location (Seriously it's like AOL A/S/L garbage) - And, yes, you can answer None of the Above for male or female.
Level of Schooling
Income level
Do you like GoG Newsletters?
Do you like exclusives offers in GoG Newsletters?

It is a completely wasted opportunity. Of course, if the morons that are current GoG just read the forums and wishlist they would know the how to improve GoG.

But in typical GoG fasion these Morons came up with the stupidest way to solve a problem, by not actually asking any questions about the problems.

It would be great if nobody else filled it out and GoG got no replies and spent all that time and money just to get a big shit burger in return.

One amusing thing about this survey is that when filling in one of the blanks as a joke, (primarily language) it defaulted to that option instead of my actual selection. (English.)

I did give some input on the matter of the Newsletter to the tune of, "Look, they're about as useful to me as a physical magazine subscription or a Linux mailing list." (Which to say, is not at all.)
