It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

mrkgnao: You can download only games you own.
If you click on a link to a game you do not own, you will simply get a "forbidden" page.
The MaGog links are nothing special, they link directly to GOG's servers, which take care of the authentication, just like they do in your library.
Thanks for the explanation .

Probably redundant, but one gets the "forbidden" page even for games they own if they're not logged in to their account.

Wurzelkraft: I also want to thank you again for providing the best way to interact with GOG. If you had download links to the GOG files in MaGog I wouldn't even need to use the horrible library (or see unbundled games).

PS: This is not a real suggestion although I think it's technically possible. Not sure if it is "legal" to do though. (from GOG's viewpoint) AFAIK clicking the links results in a check from GOG if your account is allowed to download the file.
Wanted to thank you again for your brilliant idea. I am downloading now all the unbundled games via MaGog and it is so much more convenient than doing it through GOG's library, not having to click on games to open menus, not having to troll up and down the library to find the different sub-games forming a bundle, and not having to contend with duplicate bonuses.

I know some people (yourself included) won't be able to use it for all their games because they might well own a game I don't, and I know many people won't like MaGog's interface, but for me it is ideal.

Here are a few +1's.

mrkgnao: If you plan to use MaGog to download your GOG files, I recommend using it with the DownThemAll! add-on for Firefox (I assume there is something similar for other browsers). This allows you to select a range of text (e.g. the Windows, English or the Bonuses line of a given game) and have the add-on download them all to a given directory without having to click on all those links. Greatly simplifies life.
I do not use MaGog to download my files, yet. I still use the gog.com library page.
I just started downloading with DownThemAll!
Simpler than clicking all the respective links for each game through the gog.com library page.
Thank you for the recommendation.
I use DownThemAll with the SeaMonkey browser.

mrkgnao: I believe I am not alone in having felt that GOG’s game search options leave quite a bit to be desired. Having recently reduced my backlog to only a few hundred games, I decided I now had the time to stop sitting on my backside and do something about it (the search, not the backlog, nor the backside).
So I wrote my own search engine: MaGog.
Read its tutorial to learn how to use it and follow this thread to keep abreast of updates.
You are welcome to ask for new features. I have my own ideas, but would love to hear from you.
Thank you all for the respons,

after some "trials and errors" I made what I was looking for, I selected all my gamenames in My Library (Not the "select all" ) option but the mouse to select all from down to top and pasted the text into that magical tool (GO GET). The list created in there I pasted into excel and saved the file as "Games GOG - List and Thumbnails.xlsx" (Sheet 1), then the same process again with the tumbnails and txt selected together into the XLSX file (sheet 2)

After that I cut - pasted the tumbnails and text into another column (It needed a little work to seperate the tumbnails into another column ( I am a noob in those things ;) ) but hey! you only need to do it once, if you buy more games you can easily add them in your list.

Thank you!!

(Out of topic, how can i make a list of the movies-series-books and games I own, I know there are some DOS prompt commands but Its not very clear/easy for ME 8) to import the *.txt files into seperated columns a *.XLS file) :)
re optional filters (Title, Price, Past Sale etc.)

I'm wondering if the UI could be improved by making some of these more prominent by default, or rather not 'hidden' under a drop down menu? I think it would be better to be able to navigate to to MaGog and immediately see the field to type a title to search by. Also, although I tend not to use it myself, it might also be good to immediately see the price filter option?

Other people will of course use MaGog differently, but I've come to realise that mostly I use it to find info about a specific game so title string is most often the filter I want.

But.. currently it takes 3 seconds to select the first entry "Title" + add a name + search.. what's the problem?

You're welcome, although I have a feeling this may have been posted in the wrong thread.
Anyhow, I am afraid I do not understand your "out of topic" question well enough to answer it.

IanM: re optional filters (Title, Price, Past Sale etc.)

Although what you suggest for title does not actually save even a single mouse click, I understand where you're coming from and how MaGog's UI indeed hides the "common" among the "never used".

Currently to select the title search you make one mouse click (click on the filter drop down and select title), then you're ready to type and launch it all with a "Ctrl-Enter".

With a direct title search box you will also make one mouse click (click inside the title box), then you'll be similarly ready to type and launch it all with a "Ctrl-Enter".

However, as I said, I can see the convenience of a direct title box, but I'm also wary of overloading MaGog's already overloaded interface with one more set of boxes (title, price, etc.). But perhaps just one additional text box, for title, which is indeed the most common search on MaGog.

I could make the text box optional (much like the optional tag checkboxes, which I expect many do not use, although I use them on most of my searches).

Anyhow, I'll think about it and see what I can do. How soon it'll appear depends on GOG's threat of an imminent overhaul to the library interface (which will likely have me scrabbling to adapt MaGog to), as well as the difficulty of implementing the feature I am currently working on (which I am pretty certain absolutely no one will use but myself, but hey, I'm important too...).

ANNOUNCEMENT:
Version 4.4.0 has been released with the following features:

* Added one more user-defined field to "My Fields": My Date Range (a pair of dates to indicate a period of time)
*** Note: I use "My Date" for the date I got the game and "My Date Range" for the dates I first played it.
*** Note: Naturally, this field can be filtered by and sorted by.
* Improved a few of the existing filters to avoid them returning missing values where not relevant (e.g. games with no sale date yet)
* Reread the tutorial and brought it up to date with the numerous changes of the past nine months

Hey mrkgnao, if you're editing tags, can you add a MyNotes one?
Sometimes I'd like to write a comment, for example why I avoided a title, or which are the best games in a pack, if there are good mods, etc..
