It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

IanM: The search box is useful and I do use it, although it also drives me nuts in the recent editions of Firefox - ever since Mozilla turned it into the 'one-click' feature. The way the one-click behaves means I now use other search engines more often, but editing search phrases, using copy/paste and right click has become counter intuitive and clumsy.
What? Why did Mozilla change it? (I'm still at v32.0.1).
I hate when updates remove\change content without a warning and without a legacy option to use the old setting!
I already had to install ClassicTheme and ClassicToolbar addons to avoid the fugly new interface.. :\

Not sure when or why the changes were made, it has been for a while and I'm on v 36.0.1 , about to update right now to 37.0.1

I use Palemoon as well, though I'm not sure what will happen when that project reaches a point where it needs the newer version of FF as the base, but if you don't like 'new' Firefox, Palemoon is an excellent alternative using the traditional Firefox UI

I've been meaning to look into other add-ons now the search box is different e.g. I no longer change the default engine and search by highlighting text on a web page. That was something used to do fairly often, but there probably are extensions to add to the context menu for the alternative search engines.

Not that this has anything to do with integrating the MaGog search by title option, I've added it to my browser :)
There are (simple) ways/ tweaks to undo the latest behaviour of the search box without resorting to add-ons. If you're interested, drop me a PM, as I don't want to derail mrkgnao's thread.

mrkgnao: You're welcome, although I have a feeling this may have been posted in the wrong thread.
Anyhow, I am afraid I do not understand your "out of topic" question well enough to answer it.

Pieoh: I am sorry I meant something like *.mkv for example in explorer G:\Movies or F:\Books...

Tnx!
Sorry. Still don't understand what you're asking.
I love the name.

That's all.

mrkgnao: Added the ability to run a basic MaGog title search (i.e. search for a specific game or group of games by title) from your browser's search box without having to visit MaGog's home page [inspired by IanM]
Uh, but.. I can't see my tags with the search engine. :\
I guess it can't be customized, right?

If you go to the tutorial page you will see that it mentions that this is one of the drawbacks of this feature.

It's not that I arbitrarily decided to hide them. I technically cannot display that information through this facility because this method only allows the retrieval of data from the server, not the sending of data to it (which is required for displaying "my fields" data). If I could display it, I certainly would, but the display of "my fields" requires the full code of the MaGog home page

Simply put, this feature is primarily designed for people who don't use MaGog's "my fields" feature or don't require it on a regular basis, which is still the majority of people.

This is exactly the reason why I myself don't use the feature either.

Sorry.

Ok then, I'll keep using the normal interface. Not a big problem.

Congrats on the 500.

mrkgnao: Congrats on the 500.
Oh, I didn't even notice! Also, 3 stars! :D
I should do a mini-giveaway, but I'm lazy.. probably in the future :P

3 stars was at 450, IIRC.
About the giveaway, that's ok. I didn't do one either when I got my fourth recently.

ANNOUNCEMENT:
Version 4.5.1 has been released with the following features:

* Expanded the tutorial for version 4.5.0 to walk you through the (rather simple) manual setup and use of MaGog as a search engine on Chrome, alongside the existing procedure for Firefox

HypersomniacLive: As for adding it to Chrome, perhaps this discussion might be of help.
Thanks. I tried it, which is more or less what I had tried before, but it didn't work. Rumours seem to imply that Google may have removed OpenSearch support from Chrome.

Anyhow, manual search engine setup isn't too difficult, if someone wants it.

ANNOUNCEMENT:

MaGog is suffering from a major malfunction of unknown origin. Basically, everything but the static pages is not working.

I tried to reboot the server, but it did not help. I cannot seem to be able to access the server using my regular methods (FTP, SSH, control panel), so cannot fix anything at the moment.

I contacted my VPS supplier, but I am not sure they are working on Sundays.

Sorry. Will keep you updated.
