It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

phaolo: Hey mrkgnao, if you're editing tags, can you add a MyNotes one?
Sometimes I'd like to write a comment, for example why I avoided a title, or which are the best games in a pack, if there are good mods, etc..
It's already on my todo list.
I can't promise when I'll get around to it, though.

Cool. When you feel like, then : )

mrkgnao: ...wary of overloading MaGog's already overloaded interface...
Indeed, the whole interface could be improved in look and feel, but these suggestions are always made on the the understanding that it's your own time and effort and the priorities are whatever you decide.

For searching by text/title if you pursue the idea further - is there any downside to doing it like google? i.e. navigate to the page, cursor is live in the box so you can just type immediately without clicking?

Since I'm already posting, another thought: since GOG has now gone full on regional pricing with the Russian expansion it might be preferable to see the baseline price given a USA flag icon? not sure if I even consider it the baseline price now, but that's another topic :/

I am fully aware that MaGog's UI isn't particularly user-friendly, to put it mildly. Unless the user is me, of course, for it fits my taste well.

I would gladly improve it, if someone would give me pointers on how to do it, for I myself have no idea. If nobody complains, how would I know to change things? I don't promise to accept every (or any) suggestion, but it won't hurt to try me...

Related to this, I have an even better idea, but it works only on Firefox. Which browser do you use?

Adding 1,000+ US flags seems a bit excessive to me. 900+ Russian, Uzbek and Ukrainian flags are more than enough. I will however change the title of the price column to something like "Current US Price + Full Regional Prices".

I suppose this will be solved soon:

WARNING: Magog was unable to identify the following "wishlisted" games:
- witcher 3 wild hunt the expansion pass
- witcher 3 wild hunt the expansion pass

Thank you.

MaGog updates its database every six hours, so it has only just now learned of the good news.

Should be ok now.
Yes, it's updated now with the "good news", thank you :)
Is there a way to sort by price selecting a specific currency?
Now that there are so many price zones it may be useful.

Edit: what I mean is that, as of now, you can sort by price but only considering US price.
This does not necessarily mean that the sorting is consistent with other currencies (e.g. a game regionally priced may have a higher US price than another game that isn't, but it may be the opposite for Russia).

Edit 2: it also seems that the discount rate is applied only to the US price.

1) About sorting by regional price. At the moment it is not possible. I have added it to my todo list.

2) About regional price always being displayed as the full price, ignoring sales. That was intentional, to avoid the pitfalls of misidentifying changes in regional pricing when they coincided with a sale (of which there are many). To change this I would have to make a major redesign of the regional pricing detection code in MaGog. I already have plans to do it, but it's a big endeavour (silly me -- I never envisioned regional pricing blooming into such a complex mess) and it keeps being pushed back by other things (and my natural procrastination), but I'll get to it eventually.

Bottom line, I'll do both things at the same time, but might be a while.

ANNOUNCEMENT:
Version 4.5.0 has been released with the following features:

* Added the ability to run a basic MaGog title search (i.e. search for a specific game or group of games by title) from your browser's search box without having to visit MaGog's home page [inspired by IanM]
*** Note: Unfortunately, this currently works only for Firefox and, possibly, related browsers (sorry).
*** Note: If you know how to enable this (technically known as OpenSearch) in other browsers, especially Chrome, do please let me know.
* Added a new section to the tutorial page to walk you through the (very simple) setup and use of this new feature

I decided to go one step further and incorporate the title search into the browser's search box, allowing one to perform the search without even visiting MaGog.

Assuming you use Firefox, is this good for you? Don't hesitate to say "no".

Great addition, cheers!

I had to manually add the MaGog search engine to my Pale Moon profile, perhaps because it's stored at a non-default location on my HDD.

As for adding it to Chrome, perhaps this discussion might be of help.

Pieoh: Thank you all for the respons,

after some "trials and errors" I made what I was looking for, I selected all my gamenames in My Library (Not the "select all" ) option but the mouse to select all from down to top and pasted the text into that magical tool (GO GET). The list created in there I pasted into excel and saved the file as "Games GOG - List and Thumbnails.xlsx" (Sheet 1), then the same process again with the tumbnails and txt selected together into the XLSX file (sheet 2)

After that I cut - pasted the tumbnails and text into another column (It needed a little work to seperate the tumbnails into another column ( I am a noob in those things ;) ) but hey! you only need to do it once, if you buy more games you can easily add them in your list.

Thank you!!

(Out of topic, how can i make a list of the movies-series-books and games I own, I know there are some DOS prompt commands but Its not very clear/easy for ME 8) to import the *.txt files into seperated columns a *.XLS file) :)

mrkgnao: You're welcome, although I have a feeling this may have been posted in the wrong thread.
Anyhow, I am afraid I do not understand your "out of topic" question well enough to answer it.
I am sorry I meant something like *.mkv for example in explorer G:\Movies or F:\Books...

Tnx!

Oh! A Magog search engine for the browser is a good idea : )

I tried to keep my suggestion small and simple earlier, but I could think about this some more. Does it appeal to you to do a radical overhaul? or prefer to keep it simple and just look for some tweaks?

mrkgnao: Adding 1,000+ US flags...
I could be wrong, it did happen once before :p A lot depends on how this regional pricing shift continues to unfold, it does feel weird already and the USA price being the headline price is confusing in a small way, any time I see US$ now I have to stop and think about it instead of just instinctively knowing it's correct. Sad and frustrating, all blame on GOG and the publishers of course.

mrkgnao: ..title search into the browser's search box...
The search box is useful and I do use it, although it also drives me nuts in the recent editions of Firefox - ever since Mozilla turned it into the 'one-click' feature. The way the one-click behaves means I now use other search engines more often, but editing search phrases, using copy/paste and right click has become counter intuitive and clumsy.

I've been meaning to look into other add-ons now the search box is different e.g. I no longer change the default engine and search by highlighting text on a web page. That was something used to do fairly often, but there probably are extensions to add to the context menu for the alternative search engines.

Not that this has anything to do with integrating the MaGog search by title option, I've added it to my browser :)
