LEGO Batman.
Slightly OT, but Homeworld is a game that would make a great TV show.

But wasn't Homeworld originally meant to be a Battlestar Galactica videogame, and had failed to get the rights ?

I didn't know that but it makes sense. In fact scratch my last post. It would be a bad idea.

I would have liked a Goonies series, with the original kids back in the 80s, but with today's higher production standards.

As for something that I could enjoy as a TV show produced today, with a new cast and stuff, hm, perhaps something like The Neverending Story, Gremlins, Ghostbusters, Beetlejuice, etc.

Breja: Also, since that's something already happening- I'm looking forward to the Dark Crystal prequel series. I don't like the movie nearly as much as the Labyrinth, but that's probably for the better. That way I can look forward to the series with more curiosity and less dread.
I love the film and I can't wait to watch the Netflix prequel. :)

Haha, I remember that! It's a shame Corey Feldman's career ended like this, I love his work as a kid and I think he had potential to become a good actor beyond his childhood.

As for a Goonies TV show, to be fair, I said I would have liked the original kids in the 80's, not their current age. It's something I would have liked to see back then, not something I want now they're grown ups. :)

I have to admit, however, that I was kind of excited when the director said he was going to make the sequel with the surviving members of the original cast, but probably there was no way it could have worked, so it's good it never happened.
