I think making a german paysafe acount might not be a valid option as I got stuck on the 6 digit verification code sms. The SMS never comes despite having the option for a Greek phone number and a message saying that it send it
OK. The situation has been resolved thanks to ThatGuyWithTheThing. No Paysafe for GoG from now on.
No problem. Glad I could help.

I don't mind doing the transfer/purchase on your behalf (or anyone's, really) in the future again, as long as the PaySafeCard is as close to the shopping cart's price as possible.

Yeah, Germany has become obsessed with stalking their citizens recently. Phone number requirements everywhere (even for something as trivial as an Email Account!), and to get a SIM card in Germany, you need to provide your passport(!). And in order to enforce this, they just don't send to "non-stalking" countries. Allegedly to counter "the usual suspects", but other countries quite obviously get by without such stalking just fine (or even better), so it can't be that. It hasn't stopped Germany from becoming a drug cartel playground to boot. It seems that once Germany gets into something, it just cannot stop until it has overdone it by a thousand times. And then it just moves on to something else instead of learning when to stop.

Well...if yer already stuck with it. Perhaps give someone the code and see how much the value translates to in their currency. Then ask them to buy you a game, providing the gift code to you.

That's what we did.

Tell me, you're not from Germany, without telling me that you're not from Germany.
In the EU, one could use SEPA, there even is a wishlist entry (that seems to not have gotten much attention). See this:
https://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/sepa_credit_transfer_payment_method_as_an_alternative_payment_method_for_eu_citizen_and_citizens_whose_countries_take_part_at_sepa

Especially with the new instant credit transfer, it would eliminate the reliance on third parties.
