Does anyone know why the Chronicles of Riddick games were removed from sale?
They are nowhere to be found, except second hand on e-bay and the like, and I can't seem to find any news on why they are gone.

Will we see them on sale again?

No information. Only that the games were being removed:

Shame, as they are quite good.
The Riddick licence has probably expired, and the publisher didn't want to renew it for x reasons.Maybe it will return at some point in the future, but don't hold your breath ;).Cheers

Thanks, I didn't see that post.

The whole licensing thing surrounding games needs to change, it is damaging to their preservation. Look at movies and music; if you want to listen to Tschaikovsky or Mozart you can, want to watch Hitchcock's Psycho, go ahead, even Nosferatu can be viewed by anyone for goodness sake!

Things need to change, especially surrounding some of these older games, no one is benefiting from this.

I doubt how many publishers see video games as creations of art, like music, movies or literature.
Maybe future generations will understand the potential better and mourn for the little we did to preserve this art form.

If I got a euro everytime I heard that phrase, I would be richer than Bill Gates by now. Unfortunately, copyright seems to be only changing for the worse.

It is just as it is. There have already been many sales, where there was also Riddick cheaper. Games, which I already have as a retail or on other platforms, I buy only in the sales.

Why do I have 200 games in my GOG library?

Because I like to play without copy protection on notebook or desktop, despite more than 3000 retail versions .. If the cloud could store with many games could work, that would be great

So buy your games easier, if you like :)

If I got a euro every time I heard that phrase, I would be very perplexed.

We have at least a couple video games museums here! That's how advanced we are (or nerdy, or both).

If you still want to have a copy of the game, you can try your luck in the trading thread ( https://www.gog.com/forum/general/gogs_general_trading_thread ). Perhaps there are still gogers having extra copy willing to trade it. However, beware of scammmers and READ THE RULES IN THE OP. Hope that helps. :)
