vidsgame: I wonder about these types of games but I have to question how many of these standalone games "work". It's unfortunate that many games are drmed and all but these versions of them tend to have a lack of updates and the ones who are skilled at updating these versions of the games are more likely nowhere to be found.

In short, my hypothesis is that these games are missing a whole slew of things because once they are released from their DRM, they are missing a lot of their features or even have a host of new bugs due to the game going through the grinder.
Would be sadly funny, though, if the DRM-cracked versions get freshly-cracked updates more often and sooner than gOg does.

That would just be plain awful and it might even be the case in some instances.

53 days and still uncracked, lovely to follow the daily regret

Around ~40 days in the one guy that was actively cracking Denuvo games (Voksi) finally committed to cracking Jurassic World Evolution but before that happened he got raided and his server/computer were confiscated so he's out of the game. As far as I can tell there's no one actively cracking Denuvo at the moment.

Monster Hunter World and Yakuza 0 seem to be coming out at exactly the right moment, though I guess a group could come out of nowhere to crack it.

You don't think CPY will get back to it?

On topic: I vote with my wallet and by any games DRM-free when possible. But I have no problem whatsoever with people pirating games with Denuvo or games that are exclusive to Uplay, Origin or whatever shitty platform that publishers force people to install.

They've been MIA for a while I think. If they were going to continue why haven't they? It's not like there aren't uncracked games out there.

I might doubledip on Monster Hunter, though I already have it for the PS4.

So it isn't that much about "DRM working", but the main cracker not being able to concentrate on cracking it because of a raid? Or was the raid part of the DRM? :)

Any DRM is crackable but whether you consider it 'working' or not, the end result is games go uncracked for a while and for some reason there are almost no people bothering to crack it. I assume that's because of the DRM rather than just general disinterest.

It's definitely not as reliable anymore as it used to.

However, for the reactions from people the effect is the same. The point is, the game stays uncracked, so the DRM is serving it's purpose, and the complaints exist because it's preventing them from playing the game (for free).

Not a clue on exact numbers but it's common to see people claim they caved and bought the game because they didn't want to wait any longer.
