KCD 2 got released, and the first post in the thread about it is from someone who had a hard on about this and needed to post as soon as it got released about a mod on how to remove a black person from the game.

Also, renaming Kyiv to Kiev because of a political agenda.

Said mod also removes the option, yes, you read that right, the option to maybe follow the homoerotic path if you so choose. IGN has a video about it, and one has to jump through a bunch of hoops to get that cutscene, so the mod itself is just homophobic. If you ignore the first option in this sequence of options, you get locked out of this. How difficult is it to ignore the option?

Not only that, it's the first post and it spoils a bunch of plot points for people who wanna just play the game.

Not disagreeing with your claim, or you complaints about theKd2 mod, or that the forums are a cesspool. But anyways, I couId be wrong, but I always had the impression that was more about creating whole new threads that were obviously about politics and would cause heated arguments from the get go.
Banning any reply at all that involves politics seems downright crazy to me though and a fools game, so I don't think thats what they actually meant. Like I said I could be wrong, I just think it's crazy that they would even make that claim when it comes to all replies

Pointing out someone who uploads a mod that deliberately removes or changes things to make the game match their vision of the world isn't attacking other users, it's pointing out that someone is being racist and homophobic on the forum, nothing more.

The only thing really turning this forum into a "cesspit" is the way everything has to turn into this kind of angry moral grandstanding filled with insults and vitriol over complete non-issues. A mod exists. Someone informs people about it. They can use it, ignore it, whatever. If you want to discuss it's merits, do it. But that's not what anyone wants. I've seen many forums over the years experiment with having a political forum, only to have them shut it down later, 9 times out of 10, and ban political discussions outright cause they do get heated some times. That is nothing new. Companies probably figure it's in their financial best interests (especially those that get revenue from ads) to just ban the discussions completely. I've seen this time and time again.

And I never said I was angry. So much out of touch with reality. You should get that in check. Can't be healthy.

Now in all seriousness:

●The KCD2 mod post is the absolute first post after the News blurb, indicating the poster has been eagerly waiting to promote this agenda.

●The mod promotes racism, sexism, homophobia, and also supports Russian propaganda (Kyiv/Kiev).

●The fact that the mod "corrects" the Kyiv "spelling mistake" indicates this is a mod of Russian origin, where beating women is allowed, and where the police can enter your house in a drunken stupor during Xmas and beat you up because they felt like it. Oddly specific? Yeah, because it happened to a friend of mine while he was a student there.

●You wanna talk about options and don't care about all that? It's illegal to alter the creative work of someone else's without their permission.

This is not a "productive" mod in any way, shape or form. It's blatantly promoting an agenda (an agenda of hate), and lacks any human decency.

The fact thar you're supporting the poster of said mod is astounding, to be honest.
