It is not. You don't even know what a CDN is. If it was the same, then you'd get the same speeds for all. Go ahead, tell me what your CDN is for Steam, Epic, and GOG.
Then why the diff in DL speeds twixt the three? Here they are ranked in terms of fastest to slowest: 1.) Steam, 2.) Epic, 3.) GOG. It can't be the CDN, and our ISP bandwidth is 1 GB. So it's before the DL gets to our CDN.
OK, you really haven't the vaguest clue what you're talking about. The files you download are stored on the CDN. They're transmitted once to the CDN servers, and stay there. When you download a file it's not first coming from GOG to the CDN and then to you, duh. That would defeat the whole point of having a CDN in the first place. That's gotta be a function of either the platform website, or the server(s) they employ/pay to distribute their SW DL.
Those servers are the CDN. The platform website isn't involved in downloading files.
