Worms Armageddon has ready and working WORMNET, after a quarter of a Century! (multiplayer option in-game : ) where we can easily create a room and use default rules for quick games. I`ve been playing midday using the mobile network. I`ve lost spectacularly, but I saw things I never saw before : ) However, it is best to agree on a time, options, number of matches, etc on private, once we build our tournament tree with names, random pairs can choose the best options and time to play.

Worms W.M.D. Online Multiplayer is designed for Galaxy : ) Therefore all WMD Tournament matches will be played that way. It`s easy to create a game and join through the Galaxy "invite" feature, it will load your list of friends you can invite. I did play that way with Sarafan and it worked fun out.

This is the ideal situation for everyone, for Galaxy and Offline Installers fans ; )

all Worms W.M.D. matches through Galaxy. In both cases match can be watched by the observer, recorded, or print-screened with results. I`m happy to observe all games personally, to wake up at night or something.

This is a nice initiative, it's been ages since i last played worms, but i do have worms wmd on steam.... Not offering myself up as a participant, willingly but i would like to reserve a spot on the reserve couch ;-)

Aww, thank you! I think the prizes are perfectly fine. I bet most people are in it just for the fun of playing rather than winning an actual prize, though it's a nice bonus too ;)

Very cool initiative! I've been wanting to attend another Worms tournament for a while, but they don't happen often (though I won Daikatana in a fair match of WA with a few goggers many years ago). I would love to be in on the Armageddon tournament. I only own WMD on Steam, and I don't know if there is crossplay.

Far as I recall Wormnet does not allow for private games and will require a good amount of time for just kicking people (repeatedly) before finally getting a game together with the people you want to play with.

Similarly WMD being a galaxy only multiplayer excludes anybody that doesnt want to use Galaxy - and also may not be cross platform.

I suppose thats causing the falsely upvoted comments too. O___o

Don't know anything about the W.M.D.cross platform. Maybe Zimerius will help to find out an answer.
We can use Hosting Buddy for WA to provide passworded games. It's easy to create one after a short read and knowledge stays for life or.... I could host a game for players with that wish.

yea sure, just played the first campaign match yesterday and managed to barely win... good fun though, that really brought back memories from how a couple of silly kids grouped behind a 8088 (okay, maybe not that old) blowing up each other (and their own occasionally) worms
