I will find sponsors for prizes for 1 2 3 places in the ratio of 50% 30% 20% and let's double it for two simultaneously going tournaments for Worms made in 1999 and 2016, both have active servers and you decide how to play in random pairs, (Galaxy or Straight)

I couldn't : ) Thanks for simplifying this. For each player, there's a rise in the pot. Should there be 10 players for each tournament the pot equals 2x $20. 10 for first place (any game), $6 for second place, and $4 for third, plus places in history. It's Ok to have a tournament for 10 people/teams, the first four random teams will create two winners(8 players together). We could increase it to 12 to make it more natural. But let's try to engage 8 people for a good start. We will follow official instructions, there can be an observing judge or a screenshot is good enough. We are looking for some sympathy from a company we live in as well, either GOG or gog com. We shall see 🙈

I definitely like the idea. I don't know if I will participate for 100% (a lot depends on when it would happen) but for sure I would love to contribute to the prize pool (if there is such option).

I think this might be a little complicated if there's a prize pool, unless that prize is a game of the user's choice.

We will announce matches in this thread, create a time window to choose from, and talk details between players on private and pursuit for fun. Let me wish you "good luck" already! Should you like to add to the pot we will increase the prize value or add awards for 4th places. You decide, and only if it will lift your mood : )

The game itself (one match) takes 30 minutes (up to pairs to decide the time or go to default settings). I`m good at WA and not bad at W.M.D. like medium to intermediate level. I played through Galaxy, Hamachi, Game Ranger, and Internal Servers. If there is an odd number of players, the matches of "Up to six teams can battle it out on the same machine, local network or via the Internet, making it the ideal party game" Played with several members of this portal, and fun it was. Tried this a few times. Not sure how cross compatible the gog versions are without galaxy (or at all) though.
And I think only WMD lets you make a private game out of the two.
Some years since I played though - very happy to be wrong - and up for a game when the next week or so is out of the way.

I never play online competitive video games, only cooperative and/or LAN with friends.
But this sounds like a fun tournament, so I hope you are going to find a full team soon!

Once we have 8 players for one game we will give it 48 hrs for the last sign-ups up to 10 (or even 16 players per title in the wildest dreams) ! : )

I received a negative answer from gog.com, there will be no extra prizes but they are interested in the future organisation of a similar tournament. So.... WE/YOU ARE INSPIRING! ...and watched : )
