Section updated: Don't forget about your gamer friends that may not know GOG.com yet! Sadly, for the sake of unburdening what servers we have, we had to turn off the option for gifting free games. But you can always just let them know they can sign up with GOG.com and claim a free gift of Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics. On top of that, when they register to our service, they'll receive all the 12 free games we add to all the newly-created accounts. That way your friends will start their adventure with GOG.com with a collection of 15 great games total already on their virtual shelves! Be kind, share the good news! :-)

We'd also like to remind you, that all purchases on GOG.com are now covered with our new 30-day Worldwide Money Back Guarantee, so your holiday gaming shopping spree is safer than it ever was before.

blotunga: Actually I feel it was a terrible sale. The voting part made us miss out on a lot of nice deals because they were not voted :(
As it has been reported in previous posts of this thread, the bundles that lost will come to us very shortly in a New Year's "Let's Party" sale. ;) So keep your wallet open! It should begin on the 31st, if I remember correctly.

jackster79: Quite an impressive list. Many of those are the same I have.

I am curious though what your opinion is on the following games should you play them anytime soon:
Aarklash: Legacy
Corsairs Gold
Aye, some of those I had from other sites, but I prefer the GOG edition of games where possible. I still have a few that I might add to the wishlist which I already own from elsewhere.

I'd be glad to share my opinion of these and any other games, though when I get to them could be quite a ways off still. :/

Awesome! Though don't feel too bad if it takes a long while. I keep telling myself as a New Year's Resolution every year that I will put a meaningful dent in my backlog, but that is one that I keep failing at. So, if it takes you a while, you will be in good company there.

CarrionCrow: ...It's not enough, though. Not even close. Will be working on that.
Not enough?!? A fellow GOGer truly after my own heart! :-)

Currently playing Unepic (off-and-on for a month now); find it an entertaining romp, so definitely not a bad one to add to the collection.

Yes, I've essentially decided that a wishlist, for me anyway, is more than a little silly. Kind of like a food addict having a wishlist of what they want to eat at a buffet. You might prefer one thing, but you know in your heart of hearts that you'll be hitting everything sooner or later. The only real stumbling block at the moment is the prospect of needing to purchase a new computer with a much older operating system. One that actually works better. Once the entire catalog is opened up, then all bets will truly be off in regards to addictive/obsessive/compulsive behavior.

IAmSinistar: Just for fun, here's the list of games I acquired during this sale, either purchased or received as a gift:

long list of games

Hopefully this made some money for GOG, even at the discounted prices.
I bet you did refrain yourself from going crazy and went the conservative route ;-P

...
Nice selection Sinistar!
That'll keep you busy for quite some time ;-)
At first I was going to purchase a wide plethora of different games (Terminal Velocity, Painkiller, Abe's Oddyssey, etc.) but decided instead to obtain multiple Role-Playing Games.

The Witcher : Enhanced Edition
Hopefully my computer can handle it. It is an older game by comparison with The Witcher 2, but my pc is no gaming titan.

Gothic
Gothic 2: Gold Edition

I have heard that these two in the series are excellent (especially 2 according to many) and am excited to finally try both.

Icewind Dale
Icewind Dale 2

Also very much highly praised and am definitely looking forward to! It helps immensely that I've been playing Baldur's Gate 1 for the first time here and there and love the gameplay in that! (Although I die often, haha! Still getting used to it)

Neverwinter Nights : Diamond Edition
Neverwinter Nights 2 : Complete Edition

I'm actually looking forward to playing 2 more because of the praise that the original campaign and Mask of the Betrayer get, but regardless I'm still very much happy to play more games from these studios (Bioware and Obsidian)!

The Temple of Elemental Evil

The story and bugs seem to be the biggest flaws with this according to others, but I'm still looking forward to trying it out. I'll be sure to look around for a fan made patch for the bugs.

Wasteland

I've already started playing this one! This was definitely not a purchase I would have immediately picked up, regardless of it's reputation. That is until earlier this year (before it was even announced to be released on GOG) I watched mynameisnotlilly's let's play of it. That playthrough single handedly got me interested in the game, and I'm very glad too, since I'm enjoying it!
During the sale I got:

InFlux
The Swappper
Triple Town
2 DLCs for SotS: The Pit
Sang-Froid: Tales of Werewolves
Papers, Please
Hammerwatch
PixelJunk Monsters HD
Guacamelee! Gold Edition
Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack
Volgarr the Viking
Dust: An Elysian Tail

Not bad at all :D

Only two bundles I think ;) DLCs were the only ones I didn't have from Roguelikelike Bundlelike and the last four games from Run Jump and Fight. Everything else came from surprise boxes and I think I traded for some of them :)
During the sale I got:
Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller
Thief II
and The Night of the Rabbit.
What a wonderful sale. I got:

- Fallout, Fallout 2 & Fallout Tactics for free (thank you GOG!)
- I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream
- Blood (One Unit Whole Blood)
- Nox
- Re-Volt
- Redneck Rampage
- System Shock 2
- Escape Goat
- Deus Ex GOTY Edition

Also, on the Black Friday sale just before the Winter Sale I got:

- Realms of the Haunting
- Alone in the Dark 1+2+3
- Commandos Ammo Pack
- Commandos 2 + 3

I haven't spent so much on games in ages. GOG is seriously awesome. I have played most of these back in the 90's and it's such a joy to be able to find them again. Thank you GOG!
Games I bought:

Blitzkrieg Anthology
Anochronox
Gothic II - thanks to a quadrangle trade set up by Eli involving Impaler26 and ?
Two Worlds I and II (in separate surprises)
The Lords of Midnight (only 90 eurocent as I already had all the rest of the bundle)
Deus Ex Invisible War (to fill in the gap)
Gothic I a day before the sale ended (alas it didn't become bundled).

What a coincidence. That was the let play that made me interested in Wasteland too.
