Well, one and a half down so far. Finished Torchlight 2, hadn't finished the first before that, found that I could have made a more compelling story with finger puppets. Point, click, loot, lather, rinse, repeat, yay winner game over. Roughly halfway through Puzzle Quest 2, which also has no story, unless me resisting the urge to beat my head against the desk counts as one.

Are you talking about the first Torchlight game or the second one?

The first one was pretty basic, but it had a compelling point to it that served it's purpose of rationalizing the setting and gameplay. not quite as lore rich as Diablo was, but it served the same purpose and the first game was built from scratch in something like a single year.

TL2 was supposed to be a step up, they even hired a full time writer to do the story ... then in the middle of it the scrapped it and gutted the story he had written in order to make it less like Diablo 2 and more like some kind of isometric fantasy Borderlands clone.

I loved TL1, but I just couldn't get into TL2 the same way as it just wasn't the same; it is on my 4iF list too.

I finished the second one, having been bored with the first one initially and thinking that a step up might make it more interesting to run through. If they hired a full-time writer, though, they should get their money back. Usually the story is a pretty big factor in game enjoyment, but I spaced out and it really was just click, kill, loot, sell, repeat, follow the flashing lights to the end. The story was so flimsy to me that it didn't even register.

That is what I was saying; they hired one but after he tried to write an involved plot with lots of lore behind each class and faction, they hired a developer off of the Borderlands team to be one of the lead designers and threw the story line away to make focus on mindless loot grinding.
Good progress so far:
1. Borderlands 2 - DONE (one playthrough)
2. Assassin's Creed 4 - DONE
3. Broken Age - DONE
4. Crysis 2 - in progress
5. Aarklash Legacy - in progress

Idiots. Definitely not going back for the inevitable third installment, and a decent story might have changed that.
Sure, I'm in. I did this last year, and used it as a prod to clear some of my shorter games out of my backlog. This time around, let's do

Icewind Dale 2 (not short, but I've been playing it and am in the second chapter)
The Cat Lady
Broken Sword: The Angel of Death
Hakuoki: Demon of the Floating Blossom

The last three seem to be 8-10 hour games; longer then some of the super short games I used last year (there was Hydrophobia, and ... To the Moon, I think ... and I can't remember what the other ones were). Well, no guts, no glory.

I suceeded last year, but I'm not so sure this year (partially because I only just saw this). I started and finished Max Payne 3 last weekend, so I've got one down. I played through the whole of Gunpoint yesterday, but that was my second playthrough so it doesn't count. I finished The Banner Saga on Feb 1, but 90% of my playtime was in January so I don't count that either.

The games I was planning on starting soon are things like Don't Starve, Civ V, Gothic 2, HOMM 3, Cossacks, Tzar, and Ni No Kuni, along with replaying games I've finished before.

If I commit to it I could probably play through some of these:

1. Brothers in Arms
2. Homeworld 2
3. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow
4. Memoria
5. Outlast
6. Rayman Legends

But my backlog is perfectly under control right now and I don't want to rush anything, so I doubt I'll do 4 this month.
I could try but something tells me my life will fall apart if I do. Maybe next decade.
Adding one more to the finished list:

1. Borderlands 2 - DONE (one playthrough)
2. Assassin's Creed 4 - DONE
3. Broken Age - DONE
4. Crysis 2 - DONE
5. Aarklash Legacy - in progress
6. Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons - in progress

This month just has not worked out for me. I'm playing three (technically 4, same game on two different platforms) long term games. Burnout paradise is well over 100 hours to finish, and I'm playing two different versions of it with different friends. I'm also still tryin to work through Resident Evil Revelations with over 500 hours in so far. Also playng Rainbow 6 vegas as well trying to rank up my online character. So basically there is no way I'll get them done. I doubt they count anyway, as most I started last month and RE I've been playing for months already. As I am playing all of those with people, I can't just stop and do my own thing as that would just be inconsiderate to those who are working through those games with me.

tl,dr: no 4 for February for me this year. :(

may be I can postpone it. do the same thing, just later. Possibly as early as march.
Well, I finished two games at the moment:

-Tomb Raider 2013 (although I'm not sure this would count since I was playing this since the last week of January)
-Cry of Fear (Standalone version)

I guess the next two would be the first S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game and perhaps a DS/3DS game I have on hand (don't know which one yet).
Well, I didn't pick 4 games to finished, but so far my wife and I have finished 3 games together this month, so I guess just one more to go for this. Granted, these were short games, taking only about 3-4 hours each, but still a good accomplishment for us, I think.
Finished #4 this month:

Feb 2 - Midnight Mysteries 3: Devil on the Mississippi
Feb 9 - Midnight Mysteries 4: Haunted Houdini
Feb 12 - Angelica Weaver: Catch Me When You Can
Feb 13 - Nightmares from the Deep: The Cursed Heart

And my eyes still seem to be functional... always a plus after these types of games. :)
I'm going to try to do this as a late start, but I have doubts.

So far I've finished just one game, Star Wars Jedi Knight 2. This is really hard to pick what games to play, since most of my games right now don't have a campaign.

Choosing randomly, my list will be...

- Star Wars Jedi Knight 2 - Check.
- Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2
- Psychonauts
aaaand I suppose Rainbow Six: Vegas, as much as that will probably bore me.

This will be tough, since it's been something like ten years since I finished KOTOR 1, so I'm playing through that, too.
