Greetings, everyone, and happy new year! To ring in 2014 I'd like to give away one GOG copy of A New Beginning: Final Cut. I think it's one of the better adventure games of the past few years - engaging story, good mix of puzzles, beautiful artwork, and more.

To enter, just post that you're in and tell me what is the one feature you hope GOG will add to the site or forum in 2014 (as they've hinted big things are coming).

You can enter for others, but I ask the winner redeems the game. I'll leave this open for a couple days and do a random.org draw. Let's have a good start to 2014 and best wishes to everyone.

Happy new year everybody! Thank you for the giveaway, mondo84. +1

Not in. I'm hoping they'll be improving the way you can sort the GOG catalog to allow for better search results. The current options "bellow $10" and "below $20" are just ridiculous, and were clearly meant only as a placeholder.

Edit: Also, thank you for the link to the interview.

Count me in.

Better shelf management / ability to create more shelves.

Thanks :)
In for demignon.

Hope a better search function on the forum and an overall better protection against spammers and scammers.

Thanks for the giveaway.

Not it, and, as other said, better search filters and shelf categories.
Also, advanced features for bonus content

I'm in :)
Better patching system
thanks and happy new year.
I'm in.

I also hope for better shelf management (well any sort of tagging categorizing really) and better forum search functionality.

I'd thrown in the ability to mark a game as "owned outside GOG" to simplify keeping track of what games still aren't owned versus aren't owned on gog (yes, this means I have a large enough backlog of games I haven't played that I have a hard time keeping track of games I've gotten) but from GOG's perspective it would mean they could get better demographic information about its users and would even allow them to target people who own the game somewhere else with deals to encourage them to buy it again from GOG to get a DRM-free version (in the case their other copy was DRM encumbered).
Thanks mondo84, please count me in! I love these Daedalic games :)

I would really like a better search functionality for the forums. Right now it's just impossible to use.
I'm in. I'd like to see Linux support, especially with the emphasis on new Indie games. That community is a sizable minority. The funny thing is I don't use Linux and don't really plan to.
Sounds good, I’m in if you don't mind.

I would like to see some improvements to the forum like others have already mentioned. The very basic functions that it has work well but it could use some extra features - it feels slightly unfinished at the moment. And the website does not work well on smartphones so that could be improved; trying to press My Account to get to forum replies or logout can be infuriating.
I'd really appreciate a proper search and sort function in the forums!

Happy New Year and please count me in. I love point & click adventures. Thanks mondo!
Thanks, not in.
I would like to see the forum split in different categories.
Oh, and a search function, a real search function.
But more important would be a larger selection of games.
Why only 3 - 4 releases per week.
In and many thanks!

A more organized forum
Better search function
Better shelf management
Better protection against spam ( you saw how much spam we have lately )
A friendlier games catalogue ( i hate to drag down and wait for the games to load if i choose the alphabetical order )
More options for posts ( ability to put the links in code, fonts, font sizes and colors, etcaetera )
Happy new year Keanepriest and thank you for your giveaway. I'm not in, but one thing I would really like from GOG would be the option to generate individual gift codes from each purchase. I am really not that keen on having to make multiple purchases to generate multiple gift codes.
Not in but nice pick for a new year giveaway. Thanks Mondo84 for your generosity and happy new year!

I wish for a better search function and advanced search features.
Oh and better wishlist page features such as more information such as price, sorting options.
