I'm in, thanks!
I'm in, thank you.

The most memorable adaptation is Postal by Uwe Boll. This film has the same atmosphera than the game : irreverent, stupid, funny.
The worst adaptation is Bloodrayne by the same Uwe Boll : so boring and irrelevant with the game. Even the sex scene is useless ! A true piece of shit !
Count me in, thank you.
Count me in, thanks.

Adaptations tend to turn out badly so regularly that I avoid them all as a matter of course, especially where video games are involved.
I'm in, thanks
I'm in and.. I wonder if great game>movie adaptations will ever exist..
Thank you~! In & +1! :DD
I'm in!

I find Kubrick's Shining as one of the best adaptations ever made. It is hard to take one of the best books of a extremely good novelist and still turn it into a Kubrick movie without harming the original masterpiece by Stephen King.

As for games which were later adapted to terrible movies, I guess we all know who we are talking about.
Thanks for your generosity, The Sigil and Sachys!

Please, count me in.

As for your question, I love Wing Commander series... and they got one of the worst movie adaptations of all times by Chris Roberts himself (from Uwe Boll I would have expected it, but...). :(

Thank you Sachys and The Sigil one more time!
I'm in.

"Dungeons and Dragons" was just an average movie. When you compare it to the awesomeness of the D&D world it's just a grain of sand in the desert.
I am in, please :).

I don't think I've ever watched a movie which has been adapted from a video game. Movies from books usually don't live up to the book in my opinion, one notable exception is Blade Runner, which is both an excellent film and an excellent novel, "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep" (although they are quite different from one another).

Thanks Sachys and The Sigil!
Not in, but I would like to add a category: strangest adaptation.

My choice for strangest adaptation would be "The Lawnmower Man" based on a short story by Stephen King. At least so it said in the movie I think. The two really have nothing in common at all. And According to Wikipedia , "King sued to have his name removed from the credits." That's pretty funny :)

I wonder how many of the game to movie adaptations fueled hate in the game creators minds? You hear about it in book to movies a bit ("Mary Poppins", "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" .....), but I've never seen anything about it in regards to a game.
high rated
I really appreciate The Sigil and Sachys as always providing this giveaway every week so many thanks to you guys. Please count me in for this round. The rare example I'd like to highlight is of a very good game from an atrocious movie i.e. X-Men Origins: Wolverine arguably the best Wolverine game IMO. :)
I'm all in. Thx

Some Stephen King short novels have been adapted into very good movies, like Shawshank Redemption and The Body (aka Stand By Me).
In.
Also here is something for Sachys, little bribe if I may. XD
