I really enjoyed the new Tomb Raider, and Bioshock Infinite as far as 2013 games go. Not sure if I have any other games from this year surprisingly. Dunno if there's an easy way to find out on GOG or Steam either. :)

For games released this year, I liked Crusader Kings' expansions and Civilization V: Brave New World expansion. Europa Universalis IV's nice too, will get it next year. Total War: Rome 2 is very promising with its new features, unfortunately typical of Creative Assembly, buggy game and the AI can be unintelligent at times, rather disappointing. By the time I'm able to grab it, I hope it will be a shiny gem of strategy game.

Nothing really interested me this year other than BioShock Infinite. I thoroughly enjoyed the 20 or so hours I sunk into the game though.

In for Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind GOTY.

It was a pretty lackluster year for me. The most promising games I tried, Wasteland 2 and Divinity: Original Sin, don't actually come out until next year. Most of the AAA games like Tomb Raider and Bioshock Infinite were actually pretty disappointing.

Mind you, I haven't yet played some of the indie games that tend to pop up on best of 2013 lists, such as Papers Please, Gone Home, Stanley's Parable, Antichamber, or Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons.
