Hey, I looked to the forums but there is no Formula 1 thread. In this thread we can speak Formula 1 races and drivers. Anyway I am too happy today because Michael Schumacher (my favorite F1 driver) is coming to Ferrari to race again. You know Massa's accident and his current situation from last race. I hope he will be healthy again soon. But it will be great to see Schumi racing again. Forza Ferrari!

Yes it should be interesting to see how quickly Schumi can get up and running in comparison to Kimi. I've got a funny feeling he might end up showing up a few of the younger drivers, a bit like Mansell did when he came back for Adelaide in '94.
Lets just hope Massa makes a full recovery, it would be such a shame to see his career cut short.
I cannot wait for Schumi to return!! As a kid I absolutely loathed the guy for shunting Hill off the track at Melbourne!
Looking back though, I have nothing but respect for the guy, no one else will achieve 7 world titles again, I don't think.
It's going to be so interesting too! Schumacher in an under performing Ferrari, versus dominant Red Bulls, a revitalised McLaren team, who knows which Toyota team will turn up..!
I'll still be praying for Nico Rosberg to snatch a win! Come on Williams! lol (Hey, I can dream!)
And yeah, hurry up and get well, Philipe!
Boo to Shumacher! :P
On a more serious note, it will be interesting to see if he's still got the race pace.
I'm hoping Hamilton can get some more points and wins this season. Also, Button to win overall!
Anyone else slightly disappointed that BMW are pulling out at the end of the season? Heidfeld and Kubica deserve a chance with decent cars, I hope they can get a drive at a new team.
Brawn need to get their act together! I can see Red Bull catching them at the moment. I'd love it if Button won overall though!
No idea what's happened to BMW. They certainly talked the talk for a while. Pretty embarrassing end to it if they do pull out. I thought they were concentrating on next seasons car though?

Unfortunately not... BBC link
Yeah, I'm not looking forward to Schumacher coming back. He's always been a dirty driver. I would love to see the new guys show him up, though. Actually, what I really want to see is Barrichello trouncing him. Not sure if that will happen, the way it's been going for him lately, but it would be sweet, wouldn't it?
I want to see Alonso catch his stride again though.

Looks like you will have to wait a little for that as Renault have been suspended for the next race.

They have appealed though.

Interesting read, thank you. I can't believe they're jacking it in. Only a few seasons ago (last season was it? lol my memory...) they were pushing for the title with Kubica. The KERS system messed them up so badly!
Also, what does everyone make of the proposed Spending Cap? Surely it won't be F1 anymore with a budget of ~ 40 Million?!
That's really tough on Alonso. If the team didn't inform him, it's hardly his fault! If Renault are in the wrong, maybe the FIA could hit them financially, that way Alonso and Piquet don't punished along with everyone else in the team who wasn't to blame.
Plus it's Valencia next, so I hope Alonso gets to wow the crowd there. Great driver.

I know, that's ridiculous. I was really hoping that he would drive Massa's car in Valencia... that would have sold out the stands, wouldn't it?
There was a little talk about Toyota and Renault pulling out too. Yikes.

Don't think it was just KERS, I think they just didn't get their design as well planned as the other teams (like Brawn) and they haven't managed to improve their car (like Renault and Ferrari and Maclaren). Seems they weren't willing to put the extra time and money into it.
Not sure about the cap, I'd like to make sure that new teams can come in and compete, but I don't want to lose the fact that F1 is the best of the best.
Also, boo to whoever made the decision Alonso can't drive in the next race. Shows how much of a difference a good or bad pitstop can make though!
It's gotten so boring these days. Now it's all about "who's got the best fancy electronics system in the car" rather than actual racing.
Aw man, I'd say it was far more interesting now than it was when Ferrari and Schumacher had won by race 7.. lol
Also, I may be wrong here, but my understanding is that the driver has far more control over the stuff going on in his car than before: Fuel mixes, amount of wing, type pressures, etc?
And yeah, Andy_Panthro, that makes sense. I know they had a lot of trouble with Kubica's car, due to his height as well! But yeah it's pretty bad to see them at the back of the grid consistently...!
About the cap, it seems there is a new person hoping to step up and be elected in place of Max Mosely. Hopefully he'll re-think the proposals for the spending cap, which I think is very un-F1.
I have never been a big fan of Schumi but his return might be interesting.
heh. I only like when they crash. Brutally. (and that i guess makes me a bad person)
but im no big fan of watching sports on tv. any sports. gets quite boring.
