lukaszthegreat: heh. I only like when they crash. Brutally. (and that i guess makes me a bad person)
but im no big fan of watching sports on tv. any sports. gets quite boring.

Not really the best time to mention enjoying crashes, given that Henry Surtees died in Formula 2 a couple of weeks ago and Felipe Massa ended up in intensive care at the last F1 Grand Prix and may never race again.

michaelleung: It's gotten so boring these days. Now it's all about "who's got the best fancy electronics system in the car" rather than actual racing.

Well the season so far has been quite different, lots of action and unexpected twists, but it still has the stench of boring to it - and I blame that on all the POLITICS going on. Most of the races are decided in the courtroom this season instead of on the track.
Moseley needs to get out. Possibly Bernie too. Think of it, why do we even know the names of the presidents of a couple of political racing organizations? It's obviously not about racing anymore.
Mosley should have quit long time ago.
I think they have both done a lot for the sport, but yeah, who knows, maybe it is time for a change.
It seems the political wrangling may be over for the time being at least. The teams and the FIA have agreed and signed a new Concorde agreement which will take them through till 2012.

Yes, so boring but Schumacher's coming will be good I think. And boring but still better than American's Nascar. :P Hey Americans don't be angry, Lol.

Hopefully. Schumacher has a way of being a politician too. If he brings speed to the track, doesn't park across the track or hit anyone... then it could be good. ;)
Now if Hakkinen would come back, that would be a showdown to remember.

Mika was awesome, this is one of the best overtaking manouveurs i've seen in F1, the guy's got balls.

Thx for the video Maverick. That brings back some very good memories. Unlike Schumi, Mika was classy. No dirty tricks, just talent. Too bad his career was too short in my opinion. We could have enjoyed more Mika vs Schumi, just like Senna vs Prost years before.

Yes, his career is a bit like the likes of Webber or Button; first race was Phoenix in '91, he spent most of his F1 career in average cars, until winning the final race in Jerez in '97, where Schumacher tried to take Villeneuve out. Then of course the technical regulations changed dramatically for '98 and McLaren came to Melbourne with a two second advantage on the rest of the field. He always seemed to be one of those drivers who was quick, but never really got the chance until later in his career. As always, it doesn't matter how good you are in F1, if you don't have the car underneath you, you don't really have a chance over a full season.
Great video, thank you! such a brave move considering he was on the wrong side of the track, in the damp and considering the next corner!!
*dewy eyed nostalgia*
The Mika Hakkinen Video got me in the mood! lol
Hope you enjoy this one!

Thanks for that, great video.
That first lap by Senna at Donington in '93 was amazing. To put it in perspective those four driver he passed were Michael Schumacher, Carl Wendlinger, Damon Hill and Alain Prost. By the end of the race he had lapped everyone except Hill, a truly magnificent performance.
My pleasure!
The Senna clip is truly amazing, you're right. Especially considering who he is overtaking. What get's me about it is that I think he takes all the wrong lines on the track! Yet he still has the drive to comprehensively take the other cars. And it's in the wet! Amazing stuff.
The Piquet clip had my jaw on the floor too! Where he gets past Senna and then powerslides the car around the next corner, keeping the power down but not losing the car! It must be tough for Piquet Jr to live up to stuff like that.
Barcelona 91, Mansell (my favorite) vs Senna, over 1000 meters. How can you forget that ;)
