What is the oldest purchase in your gog library, that you have never gotten around to playing and what has stopped you?

For me, it would have to be Fahrenheit, which I got on the 28th of June this year.

For some reason the complaints that people had, ended up swaying me away from actually playing the game. I made a small attempt, but I never got pass the main menu.

I remember going to a market once as a child, and seeing this game on one of the racks. I wanted it, and my parents would have bought it for me, but for some reason I choose to leave it behind. Now that I have it, I still won't play it.

Commandos Ammo Pack. Not really that dusty on the shelf, but the fact is I only started to buy more games quite recently after the first purchase that introduced me to GOG. What keeps me from starting this and all titles I got after it is I have this idea that I need to have lots of quality time available to begin playing a game. And the ideal situation in that regard hasn't arrived yet. I thought Xmas would be it, but no; busy with some other project again.
It would most probably (due to the "sort by purchase date" not to working as advertised) be IL-2. I don't own a proper controller for such a game.
Still haven't played To The Moon. Got it Nov 26th of last year. Just installed it a week ago and will probably play it soon, if I don't get sucked into another game first. Problem is I always do. >.<

Try it. If you don't find loads of QTEs frustrating, the story is kind of good for at least 2/3 of the game. Sure, QTEs are frustrating by default and the last part of the game takes the worst of the worst of Hollywood blockbusters in terms of plot, but still... give it a go.
For me, such game would be... I don't know, I have over 300 of them :) One I make numerous attempts at and never get to play it in the end is Kingdom: Far Reaches. I have it downloaded and installed, and somehow I can't make myself click that icon on the desktop :)

Its a short game. Should take you no more then 4 to 5 hours if you can figure out the puzzles. I cried throughout the whole game though its as real tear jerker.

Novotnus: snip
I have a lot of games that I install, and then never click the icon. I'm currently in Graduate School, and so I wanted to be able to just relax and I thought about all the time I'll have to finally go through my backlog.

Unfortunately, I have no motivation to play anything new.
Bought Beyond Divinity Feb 19 2010. Haven't played it yet. I got them on sale with Divine Divinity (which I have played). Now I have too many games to play that I'll probably never get to it.
For me they are quite a few oldest purchases and not played, almost all Sierra... Police Quest, Gabriel Knight's and Phantasmagoria's, the Tex Murphy's..

I have had a tiring experience with the Space / King Quest's, hooking to a walkthrough the whole time and still not making sense of the fiendish "puzzles" is just not fun, at all.. Ruining the pleasure of enjoying the story telling, or the blend of visuals and music, etc.. Just found them horribly designed, and this is how I think of Sierra games YET.

Now, about Police Quest, I expect it to be the same kind of chore, moving with a walkthrough, though the realistic and unusual setting may interest me but..

Gabirel Knight's are different, I really want to try and play them, but knowing the first will be remade I keep waiting..

Phantasmagoria's, I don't know it just don't appeal me much, also for a tiring experience of FMV games, X-Files notably with pixel hunting.. I've read the first is OK and second quite much different, aimed at perversions.. Well I'm not much into these lol!

Tex Murphy's.. I'll be honest, it is only the weird interface turning me off, a shame because it seem to have much of humor.. Also expecting a walkthrough or die design.

Yeah, I'm too much holding on to my experience or heard of, and depriving myself to grow up with new ones from the real deal.. It is in my 2014 must change, PROMISE!!

only these but when I have time I will play them...

LiLY
the Temple of elemental evil
Never Winter Nights
The Witcher 1,2
Trine 1,2
That would be the first bundle I ever bought it looks like. A PST, BG, NWN, ID, ToEE bundle it would appear.

I bought them so that I could play them (I'd already played PST and had briefly started BG at one point but hadn't played any of the others).

I then promptly didn't have time to sit down to play them and never went back to dedicate the time to them.
high rated
I've played all of them at least a little bit to see how I'd like them, but the oldest one I want to play further but never got around to is Divine Divinity. I bought it in December 14th, 2010. Then in October 12, 2012, I bought the Pay What You Want deal, which gave me a giftable copy that I never got around to giving away.

Redeemed THANK YOU!!!! <3

I don't remember wich is the oldest one from these:

Myst series - last year Xmas sale. Haven't played any of them yet. Don't know, why... I love adventure games, and I love hard-as-hell puzzles :D

Duke Nukem - not my cup of tea, but it was free :P

Driftmoon - got it during the "5 games 5$ promo". I only wanted 2 games from the offered ones, so for the other 3 I just picked random^^
Botanicula - same as Driftmoon
A New Beginning - same as Driftmoon

Combat Mission: Beyond Overlord, purchased May 22 2011. Why not? Because I'm not done with Battle Isle Platinum that I bought May 12 2011. Battle Isle was the reason I became a GOG member. I did print the tutorial for BI3 recently so I'll probably get to in in 2014. I do think I might play Dark Reign first (bought July 23 2011) .

It's kind of funny, I'm a hoarder which translate into buying lots of digital games (specially since I've curbed the habit in the physical world), but I also got another psychological issue that is probably related to my anxiety problem, I find it very hard to choose one to play. But I'm the same in a library finding something to read, it can take me hours. The only reason I finally choose something it that I have to go back home. Choosing a game to play in my own library does not have that limitation.

The game that I bought here that I have spent the most time on is Sword of the Stars: The Pit. I don't remember liking a game so much in decades. I bought the DLCs during this sale but haven't installed them yet. I want to find all the recipes of the base game first. Then I'll do the same with the 1st DLC before installing the second one. Collecting recipes does go well with my hoarding instincts.

Mine? I got too many games. About four hundred i guess. But i've played and finished Fahrenheit and that game is a "must play".
