Betrayal at Krondor maybe?

not exactly what you're looking for but it's worth a try.

tarangwydion: Someone suggested this once in the AGDInteractive forum. A nice game really, about a dozen hours or so if I remember correctly (of course I was using a walkthrough, so it might be longer to play without). My gripe about it is that you can get stuck or meet a dead end in the middle of the game if you choose incorrect skills. Also, money is rather an issue (again if I remember correctly). Battle system is quite interesting (previously years ago I did not care much about turn-based, so that does mean something), can be tough (or perhaps I am just not good enough with battle strategy). Some NPCs are interesting (can't remember any other games that feature Pied Piper). So, to OP, get this game if you can.
That might of been me as well, I used to drop by there somewhat sporadically, but I recall participating in at least one of these threads. I liked Fifth Disciple, but yeah, the combat can be a bit difficult and frustrating, especially early on when making even one wrong move will almost certainly get you killed. Still an enjoyable game though.

Another game that occurs to me that might be worth giving a try is Daemonica.
The closest one I can think of is Sierra's excellent Conquests of the Longbow: The Legend of Robin hood for branching, multidimensional gameplay integrated into a beautiful point and click adventure game.

I haven't played it, but the Wikipedia description of Superhero League of Hoboken says "The game combines the adventure and role-playing video game styles of play and the superhero, comedy and post-apocalypse genres."

Yay, necroedthread.

Erm, speaking of which, would Planescape: Torment suffice?
Not to necro, but this thread is high on a google search for "Games like Quest for Glory" - So I would just like to point out the new free game "Heroine's Quest" : www.crystalshard.net/hq.htm

It's very fun, and is the same length and quality of Quest for Glory - I would even say it's better than QFG 2,3,4,5.

Hope someone can use the information :)
