Wondering if there are any freelance editing / writing jobs that could be worthwhile. These are difficult times.
Sorry to hear you lost your job :-(

I unfortunately don't know of any freelance work, but I hope you are able to find something soon. These are hard times for many, good luck to you!
Oh man. There are all walks of life in this forum who might be able to give you some direction. I'm sure someone will chime in. I wish you all the best.

They had a winding down of the task force. It was a lay-off. There wasn't much that I could have done to salvage the situation. Anyway, thanks guys and I hope something comes up soon.

I am very sorry to hear that you lost your job.
Sorry to hear that. One piece of advice I can offer is to not limit yourself when searching for your next job. It's fine to start off with looking for a job similar to what you had or within the field you're used to being in, but if that doesn't pan out within a month or two then at least entertain the possibility of getting started on a new career path. I've seen a lot of people who have gone through either long periods of unemployment or long periods of jumping from temp position to temp position just because they were set on only applying to a narrow set of jobs that they were used to. If you remain flexible and open to taking your career in a different direction (even if that means a move or a temporary drop in pay) it greatly increases your opportunities for landing a new job.
Sorry to hear about the job loss, good luck in the job hunt!

Sadly - Welcome to the club. I'm out of job since February and now my bank sued me for a 900 euro cause of a debt of 500 euro that i've owned them.... So yeah difficult times are common now days.

Small world, I lost my job this month too. Worst thing is it wasn't even for a legitimate reason, it's a family business and I got sandbagged by the owner's incompetent son. Good luck, man.

There are some websites which connects employers and freelancers around the world for temporary jobs. The only one I know is :
https://www.elance.com/

If other people know other websites like this, please share them here.
Sorry for you man, we're in the same boat. :(
No, in fact, I'm probably swimming behind..
Good luck on finding a new job. The only thing worse than losing a job is having to search for a new one.
