Game: Max Payne
Year: 2001
Developer: Remedy Entertainment
Platforms, Microsoft Windows, Playstation 2, Xbox

1.Addicting gameplay and one of the first games to use bullet time if not the first

2. Mature and dark story with the ultimate anti hero (IMO) max payne

3.Crazy level design with some levels you wont see coming!

4, Great dialogue ( some can be cheesy) but fantastic (IMO)

5. GOG needs more games where the protagonist looks constipated.

That's actually a scientifically correct representation of the facial strains a person would make when trying to jump 7 feet sideways across a room. The developers put a lot of effort into getting that part accurate.
Alan Wake (also Remedy) is on GOG, so it's not completely out of the realm of imagination. Hopefully GOG Galaxy will draw the attention of some of the big publishers and entice them to bring over their major series. :)

I'd buy that, as well as the game if it was here. I joke about how corny it is but (the 1st two at any rate) are classics and bordering on priceless.

without a doubt, I'd love to be able to purchase it here, but seeing as this thread is doomed for silliness as it's one of a million other identical threads immediately dispatched to the wishlist, I thought I might as well jump in with the fun. **wink wink**

LMAO I almost want to make that my avatar, a constipated Christian Slater-looking bugger.

Whose the publisher on Steam? I thought Rockstar/Take 2 was now involved.

Alan Wake has Remedy set as the publisher, while Max Payne has Rockstar.

Ah, thanks for the info. Didn't think that Max Payne might have another publisher. Still, would be nice if Rockstar came to GOG, especially since it doesn't look like they're actively selling GTA 1 or 2 anymore.

Rockstar never sold them on Steam or any other digital store.

Much as I'd like to see them on GOG, that's Rockstar we're talking here, so... sorry.
Max Theft Payne 3 shows they aren't big on DRM-free.
Max Payne 1 and 2 should be on GOG because they're freaking awesome. Period.

Too bad Rockstar's eyes see only steam. And I don't think it's drm-free on steam either. I've taken the files out of the steam folder and the game doesn't run. Lucky I have my original box sets.
