Micro-BIOS: My name is Micro and I'm an addicted to insomnia sales.

(Hi Micro!)

I'm very depressed because the sale didn't include Jack Keane 2, and because I had no time to grab a copy of Tiny and Big. The only free game I got was Pid (that's true) so I have to cope with the small happiness of a $0.99 gift.

Thank you all for your support.

blarth: But they did include Jack Keane 2. They put up 18000 copies at the end of round 1 for $2.99.

Check pages 49 and 50 of the insomnia promo tracker thread. Here is a link to a photo someone posted.

The copies went super fast so it was probably a joke, but I managed to get one. : )
Now I'm completely depressed.
Cheer up people! The Summer sale is right around the corner (last year it was late June)! In 2013 the Summer sale included a free game for all (Torchlight) and insane discounts everywhere. It's what lead me to GOG.

...if you want, you can do like I do and pretend every purchase you make it a timed grab for limited quantities even though that's not the case.

18 June, to be specific.

No, no... hide your payment card. Has Insomnia sale taught you nothing! Stop buying games you don't have time to play!

Oh... who am I kidding?

I think this should be renamed to the "OCD to buy games" support thread... or even open a new one :D

You don't have to tell me thet. I've only managed to install 2 of them and play 1 of them for 1 hour. Can't wait for the weekend to come :)
I got a nice way to "cooldown" from the buying frenzy. This weekend I staged a big installfest in my gaming machine. It doesn't matter if I'll be playing them in the near term, just clicking on installers one after another and seeing the Windows menus getting full of "stuff" helped me cope with OCCD (OC Collector D) withdrawal symptoms. I even got out my binder of old game CDs and continued with those (which renewed my appreciation of GOG's installers, no need to fight with issues like "The game needs 0 bytes of disk space. You only have 0 bytes available.")

Went that route before myself. Ended up with something like 60 or 70 games installed, basked in the sheer number of pretty icons all organized and beckoning to me. Did help to take the edge off a bit.
I'd say I'm feeling a bit of it. Between bought games and free ones and a kind gift from Foxworks for one I missed, I acquired 13 new games with the sale. I also have a new job coming up and am arranging a move to a new apartment, not to mention a decent sized giveaway.

I thought I was handling it well, started playing games, namely easy entry games like Balls of Steel and Papers Please (both great games I'm very happy with btw) until I realized, these aren't even games from this sale...for the love of God, please GoG, no more sales to entice me further!
Hi my name is awalterj and I'm here for the free withdrawal meds.

justanoldgamer: After a very intense week I feel kind of bad, psychologically speaking. I'm trying to find a way to express it more clearly, I think I lack a goal and the will to find one. That's not something new for me (I do see a doctor) but it's very intense today. I had something clear to do all week: Follow the sale, read and participate in the promo and later the tracking thread.

Now I'm looking at my games, the new acquisitions and the older one, and can't decide what to play.

In any case I figure that a lot of us have somewhat similar personality here so others might feel that way, this thread is to indicate that if you feel that way then you are not alone. That's why I often mention my asperger and anxiety disorder, it is so people with psychological issues don't feel alone.
The event added a path and a purpose for a while. I can definitely understand that. Thank you for putting yourself out there for the sake of being supportive of others with similar conditions.
