In response to the other thread. Anyway I really wanted to post this one because this childhood cartoon show of mine is grossly underappreciated these day.

Samurai Jack, and this show was the most badass cartoon show ever. It had awesome action, great outlineless art, and a Immersive atmosphere which includes dialogeless scenes.

To anyone who has not seen this show because they grew up or were too young watch this scenes which sums up how awesome this show:

Hollowmen. Sad that not much was made and most people don't even know about it. Probably only makes sense to Australians though.

It's a bit like an Australian version of Yes Minister, only much better (personal opinion, I don't think YM has dated well).

Some people don't like it....

Also, The Shield. That was an awesome fucking show !
Co-Ed Confidential
Really cannot think of any. The rare real good shows are quite notorious (the shield, the wire, etc). I think that, for some reasons, tv shows tend to be rated highly, possibly because being a long term client of an episodic show demands some sort of fandom investment. Or maybe it's just a marketing trend, to present (in the medias) every other newish tv show as 'cult'. Or maybe it's an effect of tv series being quite 'social', in the sense of being ongoing objects of speculations, discussions, shared identities, between spectators communities.

Above a certain production value, or a certain number of followers, tv shows easily get enthousiastically praised - whether they deserve it or not. For some reason, it seems different with books, games and movies.

Lexx, I like so much specially after saw that episode when they clarify how and why they create Lexx and many aspects about the Insect Civilization. That was a kickass episode!!!

But TV shows ( even good ones) may end up falling in Obscurity after decade or so.
I liked Code Lyoko. I don't really see that many people talk about it. =/

Other than that, can't really think of any other shows.

I think Samurai Jack is pretty well rated among cartoon lovers, actually. Tartakovsky's follow-up show, Symbionic Titan, though, was really underappreciated in its time. A really entertaining fusion of daikaiju movies, classic anime, and John Hughes movies. No one watched it.

I guess those people are somewhere in your backyard, right now. :P

TV shows that are underrated?

Monchichi
Buck Rogers In The 25th Century
Tour Of Duty
Sharpe
Hatfields & McCoys - I recommend all vindictive people in this world, watch this show
King Of Queens

These shows should have legions of fanboys and fangirls but they don't...the universe is not fair...

I did but why, why was this show so underappreciated. Did it came out in the wrong place at the wrong time. If only the show came out after Pacific Rim than everyone will watch it.

Man it makes me sad people choose to watch Adventure Time and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic over this Underappreciated masterpiece from Genndy Tartakovsky.

Why does Dexter's Laboratory, Samurai Jack, and now Sym-Bionic Titan does not get the praise on the level of MLP Deserves :(

(And Powerpuff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends does not count because those were mostly Craig McCracken's work)
I actually enjoyed The Cape in it's cheesy ridiculousness, and how it was fully aware of it.
"Six seasons and a movie!"
Pretty much the whole Ori portion of Stargate SG-1
I liked Clone Wars, both Tartakovsky's and the rebooted one, which was also great. However, the first one introduced Grevious, and that scene was utterly amazing. But the new Wars had evolved over the seasons, showing new situations and darker themes, so overall, both good!
