http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/spellcross_the_last_battle that this has so few votes is a shame please help this game onto GOG it deserves it
Marsh: "10 USD for the Czech version that would work under win 7 (without DOSBOX)."

So basically he wants the game to run native so it ... doesn't use up as many resources or something? -_- Pretty sure that ain't happening. It's a DOS game, lol, and afaik DOSBox is the most stable option there is. Sure you could just torrent it and set it up in DOSBox yourself, your choice, but buying it here let's you own a legit copy.

But really it would probably show up for 5.99 unless it's, like, worthy of being compared to Planescape Torment or something. Voted.

Yes $6 is probably the right price for this game. It is, to be perfectly honest, nothing special. It is by no means a bad game, but neither is it particularly good. Had it not been for its theme, it would probably have been forgotten a long time ago.
Aaah, excellent slovak game, been a while since I last played this. :D

There is an English version. And although the game was made by Slovak studio, there is no Slovak version, only Czech & English. :D

OK must have been made before the split then? I have only tried the English version and that seemed cool maybe if GOG gets it they can spruce it up a bit and get it ready for our new computers;)
Voted.

Not really, but there's no need to do a Slovak version if almost every Slovaks understand Czech pretty well. :D
You have all the necessary info on wiki or their homepage - http://www.cauldron.sk/

This might be interesting for someone - there is an interview with the co-founder of Cauldron (Developer of Spellcross) Marián Ferko on a czech game website - http://www.hrej.cz/clanky/chceme-druhy-spellcross-i-chaser-xxx-4523/ and in one of the questions they asked him about a possible sequel to Spellcros and this was his answer: "We have it in plan. It is a material that is still current and we're working on it. But so far no publisher has expressed interest in this project."
Maybe kickstarter for Spellcross II ?

No, it isn't. It was released for DOS and older Win OS. Something similar was done with Gabriel Knight.

I spent quite a time with this game but eventually dropped it somewhere near the end and sold CD. It's a fine strategy game with unique settings.

Oh okay.
Voted, I played the hell out of this game and it still is a high mark in the genre for me. I wrote to the dev (Cauldron) once to ask if they'd consider releasing for GOG or Steam, and they got back to me saying that it would be too expensive. Maybe at some point they'll reconsider (fingers crossed)

Too expensive? I don't thing GOG charge for their work, or rather they charge by taking a cut of sales... I don't see how re-releasing it here could be too expensive unless they mean they want to see 100% of the profits from the sales.

Perhaps you should ask if they can elaborate on where the expense lies?
