Such an old topic, if you don't like it leave it alone. I loved the series and Blacklist is borderline best game in the series. Conviction was a good game whether you want to be a shallow minded git or not. It was upbeat and fun.

Though I would prefer a classic Splinter Cell this is just as good.
I'm in the middle of it and while I think it's better than Conviction (it sucked) and next best in the series (I still prefer Chaos Theory) the stealth mechanics could have been better and I don't like the save system.

In my opinion Pandora was best one. =P
Just hated those when I got widescreen monitor and there was so much trouble with shadows and yet it was awesome to throw a bottle in enemy face and knock it out. ^^

edit: I just wish I had some good finnish friend to play co-op with.

Haha, yeah. The co-op was surprisingly fun in that too, I played some with a friend and my brother in. It was a blast. Do you remember if you could throw bottles in co-op too?

Something I've noticed I'm bothered in Blacklist is the slight delay when you move your character, like he has to turn first, wait then you can start to walk. I'm used to it now and I actually never was discovered because of it but it still bothers me. I've always liked quick-reactionary controls especially if it comes to a situation where you have to quick to avoid detection. If someone wonders if it's my computer I doubt it as I've read on the Steam forums others have some similar issue and I think it's a design choice rather than a bug.

Well that some delay annoyed me but I don't really notice it when I took tesselation off. Runs better now and i mostly noticed it in the shortest epilogue ever (I mean intro thing). Still i took my time in that.. i paid a good money. =P

And I still have no friend who owns legally games or just bought that anyway. Would be neat though. And Pandora tomorrow.. Like I would get that anywhere in good conscience. =/
I'm getting used to the controls but still even how fluid I am.. one detection is my end almost always. Hardest is not easy. Turning.. I thing he mioves pretty (he moves =P.. a bit of typo correction) quick now.

uplay.. how many updates you do that slowly and befotre that.. Gamersgates download app.. "connection was reset" goddammit.. itb took a long time before I got to play it but at least it was worth the wait.. I mean at least I don't hate it. =)

Holy crap this game is actually really good, outside of stupid checkpoint saves having no place in a stealth game.

I almost feel bad for waiting until this was $10 to buy it. Ten times better than Conviction.

Man, I was telling everyone it was great. Nobody believed me. I was at Gamestop a few months ago talking about it and the guy hadn't played it because "it sucked." It seems like everyone who hates it has never played it.

Spectacular multiplayer vs and co-op.
Amazing campaign.
Near perfect level design.
RPG-ish-ness and 3rd person shooter stealth and some fun last action hero moments.

It's a great game. Glad you're enjoying it!
I've thought at first this is some coding related stuff. You know, the ?: operator :)
Btw I've never played any of the Splinter Cell games...

Yeah, unfortunately though that's how the system works for the most part. Make a shitty game (Conviction) and no one trusts your next game. So they kind of brought it on themselves. Still... glad to be playing it now, and we can keep spreading the word.
I really want Blacklist for the multiplayer. The "Spies vs mercs" mode in the Splinter Cell games was one of the best multiplayer experiences i have ever had. I never understood why Ubisoft took it down in Conviction.

By the way, is the PC version good? I usually don't trust Ubisoft's PC ports.

Yes, surprisingly. Looks amazing and runs really well on my 4 year old rig. Even the mouse aim is good. Requires Uplay of course.
