tfishell: Afaik it's because of no Windows/PC versions for the original being released. 2013's Pegasus Prime appears to be 1997's Pegasus Prime, but this time for Windows. And since 1997's PP is a "complete remake" of the 1992 original,
In a sense we're finally getting the original Journeyman here.

Demo: I tried it and enjoyed it somewhat for 10 minutes, but then I came to this obscure white station (having taken the left path) and had no idea what to do, so I walked off a cliff.

grviper: The original Journeyman Project 1 was released for Windows (Journeyman Project Turbo), but it's a pain to run even under XP.
Oh okay. So it is one of those early Windows titles that (like maybe SimCity 2000 for Windows or DK for Windows, perhaps) is really tough to get working under modern machines? Something to do with 16 bit vs. 32 bit vs. 64 bit?

Yes, it is a 16 bit 1994 Windows game.
Journeyman Project Turbo runs on DOSBox
i just finished playing the demo, it was pretty good.
Hopefully Cy-Fox won't get pissed by being out-bumped again. ;)

Crosmando: Journeyman Project Turbo runs on DOSBox
Doesn't it require Windows 3.x though?

Yeah, it's a Windows 3.x game, but DOSBox is capable of running it via mounting the CD. No idea how but it works, DOSBox can also run other 3.x games like Shivers (Sierra game) too.

Without installing Win 3.x? I thought that those games were playable on DOSBox, but only if you installed Windows in it first.

I honestly don't know, but I assume that's how they made it work (I downloaded an install package similar to GOG's for Turbo on an abandonware site), it plays via a DOSBox shortcut same way GOG does it.

Would their be legal problems with GOG hosting a game with Win 3.x installed within a DOSBox setup?

Well for each sold copy, there would have to be a license for Windows 3.1 to operate within that given environment. Microsoft doesn't even really sell 3.1 anymore and I believe the only first-hand legitimate way to get ahold of it is with a special MSDN subscription. GOG from what I've seen hasn't even began to release Microsoft games, so bundling in one of their (abandoned) operating environments is probably not going to be foreseeable.

Isn't the DOS that DOSBox uses an abandoned MS OS in itself technically though? Or is it some free version of DOS from someone else?

Fever_Discordia: Or is it some free version of DOS from someone else?
It doesn't use MS-DOS, nor any other of the commercial systems. As I recall, it's not even an OS, but a clean-room emulation, or however it's called.
Does this have any kind of release date?

Also, surprising it's on SCUMMVM, I never thought that it could run FMV-type games
Bumping to see if there's any news. The twitter page for the team hasn't had any updates for awhile.
