It began with the adventure of Brandon, the rightful heir to the throne left empty by treachery and murder. The first Legend of Kyrandia the hero comes of age during his travels, learns some essential magic spells, recovers a mystical artifact, and faces his parents' murderer. Years pass. Zanthia, a young female alchemist and wizard encountered in the first game, discovers that the kingdom of Kyrandia is in great danger. In The Legend of Kyrandia: Hand of Fate the land seems to be mysteriously disappearing, piece by piece. The beautiful heroine has to embark on a dangerous quest which will lead her to some unsettling discoveries. She will also find her one true love, whether she want's it or not--just in time to save his sorry behind. Finally, the story will come full circle and you'll see things from a whole new perspective. In The Legend of Kyrandia: Malcolm's Revenge the villain of the first story makes a comeback, and this time he has to make it without his magical powers. Is he really the murdering maniac we thought he was, or just a regular maniac with no blood on his hands?

Wouldn't you just kill for some good old-school point-and click action? Don't you feel you could murder a classic fantasy trilogy? Get the complete Legend of Kyrandia saga for only $5.37, until Tuesday, January 7, at 10:59AM GMT

Kunovski: have you tried for example Simon the Sorcerer 1 recently? having to click 2 times just to talk to someone, to walk somewhere, to look at something? that's ancient history of pain! so Kyrandia, even though it has not a perfect controls, made a HUGE step forward in UI experience...
If clicking two times is the pain, two words : keyboard shortcuts. They should be mandatory.

Anyway, I replay the first two Monkey Island a couple times a years, same for the Indy games, and coincidentally replayed Simon 1 some months ago. Didn't bother me, since it means you have the freedom and requirement to think about what you will do with the interactive spot.

Having a one-click interface means you have no control or possibility of thought over what your character is going to do with the interactive spot. You just click, click, click. Wanted to examine this rock ? Fat chance, game says you roll it to the other side of the room, solving puzzle by itself. No thanks. If you can't die and/or have no inventory it's even worse, click click clickety-click. Last week I played Lilly Looking Through I got for a couple of bucks from the promo. Awful, and barely worth the two bucks for me.

At least the modern two-click interface keeps "examine" from the ancient list of verbs.

I only played Hand of Fate for a short time and the third I didn't at all, but as I own them now I'll definitely will :o)
They're very good. Haven't played them in quite some time, might as well do it soon.
These three were on sale not long ago with this same type of deal... and I still don't want them...
I salute the poor soul who took it upon him-/herself to put this up in the middle of the night. If it wasn't for the fact that I was interested in these titles anyway, I'd have bought them out of sheer solidarity.

Hopefully, tomorrow will see a ton of new releases (if only to make that depressing Fallout news item disappear).
Still chewing through a few point and clicks (Simon, Feeble, etc) so I'll probably pass, but I have to say, I like this style of sale/bundle with the scaling discounts.
Not this time. Too many games from Christmas :(
I really liked these, but I was too disappointed that EA is requiring their updated EULA for these games. I'd happily buy them from GOG, but if doing so requires I agree to their new EULA then I'm going to have to just go dig out my old CDs and do the legwork on my own if I feel like playing.

It makes me sad, as EA owns the rights to some good games, including these three.
Yay!

But without any DRM how are they going to enforce their EULA?
I am very happy to see this sale! Been hoping to see it for awhile. I own the old games (in their boxes, no less) but haven't been all the successful getting them to run on my own. So, yay!
One question: These are not the "cd version"?
YAY! Been looking forward to buying these on GOG. ^^ I couldn't get Malcolm's Revenge to work in a very long while.

Serpent Grotto, here I come again! *digs out her homemade maps*

If the CD version ran in DOS, I think these would be the CD version.

I think the best way to tell them apart is this: are the GOG versions of Book I and Book II voiced? If yes, then they are the CD versions. (To my knowledge, Malcom's Revenge was CD-only)

Yes, all the games are voiced.
Picked up these three plus the two Cannon Fodder games for 10 bucks, saving almost 20 off the already good prices and they all have Mac versions. Yay!

Thanks GOG. :D

hmm, interesting - you don't happen to know the shortcuts for Simon (if the game has any)? with it I might replay the game, I miss it very much :) (yet I hate the icon interface, as you might have guessed ;)
