NoNewTaleToTell: Yeah that's true. Speaking of influences/clones, in Saints Row 2 and Saints Row: The Third I notice what seems to be a lot of influence from a game I used to really like called Scarface: The World Is Yours, which was also labeled a GTA clone. Kinda funny, wasn't a lot the plot/setting of GTA: Vice City heavily....influenced by Scarface? Anyway, if you like Saints Row 2 there is a pretty good chance in my opinion, that you'll like Scarface: The World Is Yours.

Fever_Discordia: Is it like the Godfather Game? I liked that, and Mafia, come to think of it.... (Scarface that is)
I have SR2 and 3 on my 'to do' list - getting quite near the end of San Andreas at the moment - I've made 1 attempt at the mission that unlocks the jet pack
I actually never played The Godfather : The Game, I wanted to but I never found a copy of it. I would say when you get around to playing Saints Row 2/Saints Row: The Third, if you like them, pick up Scarface: The World Is Yours. I can't really compare it to one of the GTA games it doesn't really have a lot in common with them.

I'll give a quick list of features of what Scarface: The World Is Yours has with Saints Row 2/Saints Row: The Third and the GTA games.
You can hire henchman (and do quests as them) and call them to assist you or to protect your property...or just to deliver a vehicle
You can customize your mansion (very in depth)
You take over territories from opposing factions both one random unscripted battle at a time and in storyline
You can taunt whenever you want by pressing a button, doing it in combat can give you bonuses
You can buy cars/outfits/pay to reduce your heat with opposing factions
You do dedicated sidequests to earn most of your money
The map is broken into several specific areas, you can visit anywhere at any time (except for one or two areas) however the story usually involves one specific part of the map at a time (like in the old GTA games).
You can buy/take over businesses that will help you earn more money in your sidequests.

In my opinion Scarface: The World Is Yours is definitely worth picking up for a few bucks.
I liked playing through whole saints row games with my character nude.
I started with SR3 and loved how over-the-top crazy it was. SR4 was great too what with all the superpowers but it felt a bit short.

That's my biggest issue with Saints Row IV, the campaign feels rather short, still that's a good "biggest issue" to have with a game.
I've never played SR and don't know a thing about it. However I JUST finished watching a few videos which ended on a Biz Markie song, which I learned was in a SR game while reading the YouTube comments. I then tabbed back to gog and see a SR thread at the top !

So I'm posting on happenstance.

The Saints Row games have great soundtracks and use the songs to perfection at times. In Saints Row: The Third Joe Esposito's You're The Best and Bonnie Tyler's I Need A Hero both play during key missions. In Saints Row IV Aerosmith's I Don't Want To Miss A Thing is used to perfection in an early sequence and you can listen to Stan Bush's The Touch while flying. So yeah...

I love those songs!
For those wanting to give Saints Row 2 a shot - I'd suggest this mod
