Hi, I'm in!
I like RPG's because you can control way more things than with other kind of games. I really enjoy the more realist ones. The first RPG I ever played was Betrayal at Krondor, I remember I loved the fact that you had to repair your armor, and buy food, and it would spoil if no eaten soon.
Thanks a lot for the giveaway!
Thank you, Melvinica! +1

Please count me in.
Count me in for the Temple of Elemental Evil!

I love RPG's for different reasons depending on the game, but mostly I find them to be relaxing/calming, almost therapeutic, and also they allow me to use my 'imagination' more than most other genres of games.

Thanks a lot for the giveaway, and good luck to all who entered!
Great, I'm in!

I love very much the RPGs because they often have a history, a soundtrack and memorable characters and are able to transmit strong emotions in the players.
is definitely my favorite genre of video games!
Thank you for the chance to win Temple of Elemental Evil, Melvinica! +1

I like RPGs because usually they come closest to my ideal game. My ideal game needs to have a memorable story, but a reactive story. The story should always accommodate and acknowledge the actions of the player.

The setting of the story should be believable and cohesive. If the setting of your game is grimdark fantasy, then don't destroy the atmosphere by having a section of the game where the enemies you encounter are the furniture of the room you just entered.

The difficulty of the game should depend on the skill of the character, not on the skill of the player. I always hate games where a new enemy type is introduced and the AI is suddenly brain dead and it's waiting for the player to kill it, just because the developers needed to slowly teach the player the weak points he needs to exploit, for the rest of the game, in order to defeat that type of enemy.

The battles should be turn based. Turn based gameplay allow you to play at your own speed. In the beginning you get to take your time and learn what each spell does and what weakness each enemy has, you explore the interface and read the tool-tips of each option available to you. Eventually when you've gotten used to the flow of the battles you can play much faster, but you would never feel the unnecessary pressure of an unnatural time lime limit.

I'm in. I like RPG because I like to be a bad character. Thief, smuggler and so on. And if someone catch me, I'll use load and will try it again:)
Thanks!

Thanks for your generosity, Melvinica! But beware, making giveaways is highly addictive. ;)

Please, count me in for MadalinStroe, if I may.

The traits I like most from RPGs are 1) the possibility of playing and beating the game with very different builds and 2) choices and consequences (if the game have them implemented). I love to consider and decide which is going to be my.actions and see how it'll affect to the inhabitants of the game.

(in fact, I love C&C on any genre -not only RPG- since I encountered them in the Castles series at the time).;)

Thank you for the support, Thespian*!

I couldn't agree more about meaningful C&C. It makes the game world seem so much more believable. Unfortunately it's such a rare feature in games. Now, I'll have to check out the Castles series. :)
