Neobr10: Oh, wait, are you serious? You want to compare all the games on the PC with just one console generation? Oh yeah, that's totally fair. GOG has games from 1985, the PS3 came out in 2006. Seems like a fair comparison, genious.
Which part about gaming is "fair" I have one system (PC) and it lets me play decades worth of games. That is one very essential part of PC. If consoles cant keep up - its not exactly my fault is it? Its actual HD versio on some such being released this year. FF8 there as well: http://store.steampowered.com/app/39150/
But seriously - whatever. FF is one brand. Certainly more of series will be dropping on Steam in the future as well. I dont really see how this is relevant.
Neobr10: Just like we can pirate GOG and Steam games and fuck it. Emulators are illegal if you don't own the original game, console and extract the BIOS yourself. We are not talking about illegal methods here. And even, then, well, good luck emulating Final Fantasy XIII.
Well just´buy the original game somewhere and then emulate to your hearts content if thats what it takes? I am personally not really all that interested in FF (did play 7th back "then"). Was fun, but thats it. I am not recommending anyone to get in to PC gaming just for the sake of one singular game either. Neobr10: Then, please, show me one physical console game that has DRM (excluding multiplayer-only titles for obvious reasons).
Whole lot of modern consoles function is tied to gamer profiles (including DLC i believe?) - the old "non-internet period" consoles work just fine these days. I am not sure certain how broken the modern consoles become after they shutdown the servers and you cant download you DLC's, patch the games etc. My point here being that consoles arent inherently much different from Steam for example. I personally use Steam alot, but others have more critic view on it.
Neobr10: Anyways - PC has access to same controllers as any console.
Same goes for consoles. I don't know about the Xbox One and the PS4, but the Xbox 360 and the PS3 did support keyboard and mouse. The Xbox 360 needed a third-party periphal, but the PS3 had keyboard and mouse support out of the box (even though you still need a third-party device for some games).

Is the lack of keyboard and mouse a problem? Well, there's the solution.
..now here we run in to the problem i tried to point out earlier. Console games have to be designed to work with the buttons that its controller has. Its different to design a game for keyboard+ mouse and then add controller support - than to design game for controller and then add keyboard support. From game design point the difference is huge. That means, i doubt there are many console games that could understand my bit simple CH Combat Stick 568
or the HOTAS id like to get. Now add there flight pedals and other accessories and youll be running into problems.
Sure there are sticks and wheels+pedals for consoles - but they are way different than the more serious (and expensive) PC models. There simply arent console games that could take advantage of them.
Neobr10: The frames per second issue is not objective by any means. SOme people feel comfortable with 20 frames, others only feel comfortable with 60+ and there are gamers who want more than that and buy a shitty TN panel with 120Hz. Different tastes. I'd rather not sacrifice image quality, 30 frames per second is good enough for me.
The Great Framerate Non-Debate ill leave it at this.
Neobr10: And even then, most PC "Master Race" elitists that brag about the awesome frames per second and GRAPHIX they can achieve don't even have a PC capable of running modern games with the settings set to maximum at 60 frames. Good luck playing Battlefield 4, Metro Last Light and COD Ghosts without a beast of a PC (just to give you an example, Digital Foundry did a performance analysis on COD Ghosts and even their test PC equipped with a GTX Titan couldn't run the game at 60 frames per second and all setings set to maximum).
Ghosts happens to be crappy console port as everyone knows. BlackOps2 is apparently being play way more than it. You know these things called "settings"? you turn the knobs there to find the balance between your fps and image quality needs. Oh wait, you dont have those in consoles. Even if we dont have money to buy the newest and hottest hardware - still in games we get to choose do we want to have better image quality or more fps. You have to be happy what the game gives. Dont tell me you think youre better of there?
Also talking about maximum graphics for PC - well newest current AAA PC games max graphics are probably better now than what the next (post xbone and ps4) console will have. Just like it was with the current new consoles.
Personally i dont think graphics are all that important, but its great to have the choice.
Neobr10: I think he meant games like DMC, Ninja Gaiden, Bayonetta, Vanquish games that usually don't come out on PCs.
Devil May Cry's new+2+3 YAIBA: NINJA GAIDEN Z
Dark Souls 1+2
Killer is Dead - Nightmare Edition
Dead Rising 2+3
Dead Spaces 1+2+3
Metal Gear Rising Revengeance
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow
Darksiders 1+2
...and what else. I think we are nicely covered here.
Mrstarker: True, there are very few JRPGs that are PC only... Septerra Core, Anachronox and.... not much else.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Japanese_role-playing_games_on_PC i am not sure how set in stone the term "jrpg" is really.
