Could the game be "Pool of Radiance"?

Seems more likely, since the game was published by Ubisoft if i recall correctly.

Sadly it's not that likely, as it's a D&D game owned by Ubisoft(who hold the old SSI stuff), while Atari holds the D&D PC Game license, and Hasbro has the overall D&D license. Getting it a release would require an agreement between all three parties, which would probably not happen, but it's not completely impossible.

Don't get me wrong I would love to see the gold box games here, but I don't have my hopes too high. Instead I'd love to see them release the other SSI rpgs that were precursors to Pool of Radience: Wizard's Crown, Shard of Spring and Demon's Winter. The don't use the D&D rule set and use an engine somewhat similar to the gold box one if more primitive.

It was but two things 1. it was made in 2001(unless you mean the original Pools which came out sometime in the 80's) and they said the game was from 1998
2. though the game was published by Ubisoft, Atari now has the D&D Licence so if the game was to be released more then likely it would have to involve Ubisoft and Atari coming to some agreement

Dune pack!

gameon: over 2000 happy + from 1998 = dune 2000
Yes please.

gameon: I checked the wishlist and dune 2000 (1998) only has just over 1100 votes. But the original dune (1992) has 2000+ votes. Which makes me think maybe they will be releasing both.
Yeah, I never really understood why everyone hated 2000 so much. I like the idea of releasing both games in a pack though, It should make everyone happy.
Perhaps GOG is planning to release Final Fantasy VII and VIII tomorrow.

Possibly one, but, getting both is highly doubtful. That would imply that they would be in one package and that is just not going to happen. This is Square Enix we are talking about after all.

I think if GOG had made a deal with Lucas Arts, they would have made a huge announcement and milked it for all it;s worth;that seems to be their techinque.

If there is an old game release this week, my guess is Theme Park, since they just released Theme Hospital last week......

It would continue the EA scene here. (Interestingly, both Theme Hospital and Dune 2000 came in the blue "classic EA" box I got back in '01, although I was buying it for SimCopter at the time. Now THAT, as well as Streets of SimCity, would be awesome. :)

keeveek: I found the post. He said "this week releases should satisfy 2000+ wishlist votes".

It means both Wed and Thu games will satisfy 2000+ votes.

My guess is back to Populous.
You have brightened my day yesterday so I will brighten your today. Check your PM I've send you a gift code for a brand new Populus.
Populous the beginning was +900 votes. So, that means there is 1 release left with ~1000 votes, right?
There's always a possibility they'll release Syndicate Wars...
